Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Zeynep! I am a mathematician with a doctoral degree. After completing my postdoc, I am currently focused on acquiring new skills while continuing to teach. Teaching has always been my passion throughout my academic career. I have 16 years of experience, starting with private tutoring for school children during my undergraduate studies and eventually teaching at the university level to a diverse range of students. I am capable of teaching at all levels, from elementary concepts to specialized topics. In Turkey, I guided many high school students through their International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, helping them gain admission to highly prestigious universities in the UK, Italy, and Switzerland. Some of these students later became colleagues, pursuing academic careers themselves—a gratifying experience! I currently work in the Netherlands with students from various backgrounds, including HAVO students who follow the Dutch curriculum, international students enrolled in the IB program, and high school or bachelor's students from around the globe, all engaging in remote learning. I graduated from the conservatory and also graduated as an orthopedagogue and music therapist. As a result, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when working with children/adults who need specific attention. Think of people with autism, giftedness and mild intellectual disabilities. Of course, you are also welcome as an adult with or without additional challenges. I have 3 children myself, 2 of whom are highly gifted. This has ensured that I teach these children with even more enthusiasm, understanding and patience. It is also possible to indicate in advance in conversation what your child is struggling with and how violin lessons can help with that. For example, think of making contact and feeling with autistic children. Highly gifted children experience extra challenge and learn to deal with the frustration that something does not work right away. Of course everyone is welcome with me!
