I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old, and my youngest one is 3 years old. They made great progress, and I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. Dr. Ettayyebi is by far one of the most patient educators I’ve ever met. Not only is he deeply knowledgeable in mathematics and logical reasoning, but he’s also incredibly personable and easy to talk to. I’m embarrassingly bad at math, yet he’s never made me feel ashamed of it—something I can’t say for most tutors I’ve had in the past. Instead, he’s gone the extra mile to create a tailored learning path for me and all his students, one that meets our goals while strengthening our weak spots. Volodymyr worked with my son for 2 months after he failed an oberstufe year 7 schularbeit, and by the next exam he got a 3 (only 2 points from a 2!). Volodymyr has continued to work with him over the summer, and my son feels so much more prepared for year 8 and the matura. My son enjoys working with Volodymyr--he is kind, positive, and supportive. He is comfortable teaching matura-level math, and does so with great clarity. My son is a native English speaker, so they mostly use English, but the first lessons they did in German, and Volodymyr works easily in either language. I highly recommend Volodymyr!

Corinne is helping my daughter to prepare for her oral exam for the European Baccalaureate (French as a second language). She is very professional, well organized and very kind! She is also very flexible, as we had to postpone and reschedule a couple of times. But most importantly, my daughter says that she can see Corinne’s passion for language and text, so that makes the tutoring more fun. Corinne also takes notes during the lessons and sends them to my daughter afterwards: great! PS: my daughter received now a 10/10 for her final French oral exam!
