Face-to-face lessons of modern singing Modern singing: technique, improvisation and repertoire The face-to-face classes take place at a studio in Prenzlauer Berg and are mainly aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music. They have a duration of 50 minutes. In singing classes, breathing and vocal technique are worked through warm-up exercises, always with the aim of working the voice in a healthy and correct way. My classes are mainly focused on the repertoire of the student’s preferred style, which can be pop, soul, jazz, blues, bossa nova, tango and bolero, among others. Each style is worked differently and with the appropriate resources to lead to a good interpretation. Both for warm-up and repertoire I usually accompany the student on the piano. Depending on the style sometimes I may work with karaokes. I also teach a good use of the microphone, to fight stage panic and to enjoy a performance on stage. They are similar to those in the classroom, with the difference that a little more time is devoted to the repertoire than to the technique.
