Hi, I’m Sajidah. Currently in Year 11, I am predicted top GCSE results and have honed my leadership skills through various experiences. I am passionate about creating an environment where learning is both enjoyable and meaningful. As an experienced tutor, I specialise in interactive learning by connecting complex subjects to real-world applications, making lessons engaging and accessible. In biology and chemistry, I bring concepts to life through diagrams, hands-on experiments, and visual demonstrations. For mathematics and physics, I break down problems into clear, manageable steps, using practical examples and simulations to explain core ideas. My English Language and Literature lessons focus on critical analysis, fostering deeper understanding through discussion and detailed examination of texts. In history and geography, I use interactive tools like maps and timelines to relate content to current issues. KS3 and KS4 Art and design curriculum or one off sessions
There is not always enough time during a single or double period of art weekly, in the school setting to create and complete work or achieve a desired result. It could be that you want to get better at a desired skill or further your techniques. Maybe you are struggling a little to understand something about the GCSE process, or do not have enough one to one support from the classroom teacher due to classroom sizes and length of the lesson. Even if it's for Homework support or constructive feedback, I am happy to provide my service.

Mastery in maths, phonics and reading, writing and ESL help
My approach to teaching primary maths is rooted in the mastery framework, which emphasizes deep, long-term understanding rather than just surface-level memorization. This method is essential as it builds a solid foundation, allowing students to grasp concepts thoroughly and apply them confidently. I place significant importance on the use of manipulatives, as they offer hands-on experiences that make abstract ideas more concrete. By engaging students actively, manipulatives enhance both understanding and enjoyment, fostering a more meaningful and lasting connection with mathematical concepts. I use the Ruth Miskin phonics scheme in my teaching, which provides a structured, systematic approach to developing reading and writing skills. This method emphasizes the clear progression of sounds, blending, and decoding, helping children build confidence and fluency. By following this scheme, I ensure that students grasp phonics in a fun, engaging way, laying a strong foundation for their literacy development. With extensive experience across subjects like maths, phonics, writing, and teaching English as an additional language, I bring both expertise and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. My approachable nature ensures that students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking support, while my enthusiasm for teaching fosters a positive and engaging learning environment. I tailor my methods to each student's needs, making sure they build confidence and mastery in whichever subject they're tackling, and I'm committed to helping them achieve their full potential.

GCSE Physics, GCSE Combined Science, Science Tutor
Reflecting on my experience as a secondary school student, I encountered challenges in grasping scientific concepts. However, my physics teacher employed diverse range of teaching methods to explain these ideas. This personal journey underscored for me that being an exceptional teacher goes beyond the mere transmission of information and aiding students in exam success. Instead, it emphasizes the need for educators to possess the ability to ignite students' enthusiasm for knowledge and curiosity. I particularly enjoy teaching adolescents, children aged thirteen to sixteen due to the countless challenges they face during this transitional phase into adulthood. Consequently, I seize opportunities in my lessons to offer emotional guidance when applicable. Throughout my teaching career at the secondary level, I have gained the expertise to instil confidence in this age group by employing strategies both within and beyond the classroom. Additionally, I have acquired the skills to intellectually and socially engage them, fostering the confidence needed for active participation in various activities.

Piano lessons from beginners to advanced (Grades 1-8 ABRSM)
Hi! I am an experienced pianist looking to share my skills. I cover both practical and theory lessons, and I have 15 years of experience of being a pianist. In my lessons, I teach the basics and go through practical skills, allowing students to complete ABRSM official exams, and I also teach them extra pieces of music, which will not only enhance their skill, but also their enjoyment in the instrument My teaching approach often focuses on detail, such as the positioning of the student's hands on the piano, to their posture when they sit at the piano. Small details are often the difference between a student getting a pass to a distinction. Learning can be difficult, but I take an active & efficient approach to teaching. In addition to keeping students on their toes throughout the entirety of the lesson, helping them actively recall information. Lessons can range from 30 minutes up to an hour, depending on each students needs. IMPORTANT: Only for students under 16, looking to do piano as a serious commitment.
