This course is designed for complete beginners who want to learn and enjoy chess. Students will start with the fundamentals, including the chessboard setup, how each piece moves, and the basic rules of the game. As the course progresses, learners will develop essential skills such as recognising check and checkmate patterns, planning simple attacks and defences, and avoiding common mistakes.

Through guided lessons, practical examples, and interactive exercises, students will build confidence in making good moves and thinking ahead. The course also introduces basic opening principles, tactical ideas such as forks and pins, and simple endgame techniques to help players convert advantages into wins.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to play a complete game of chess with confidence, understand key strategic concepts, and continue improving their skills independently.
