Hola!
Soy Velika, tu nueva profe de Ingles. Soy originalmente de Australia pero ya llevo 3 anos viviendo aqui (dos en A Coruna, y uno en Barcelona).

Yo trabaje 2 anos con ninos y jovenes dando clases en colegios publicos en Coruna. Antes yo he trabajado como tutor en Australia y tambien en Alemania. Tengo mucho experiencia ensenando Ingles. Tambien tengo un Master - es decir - DOMINO el Ingles.

Lo que me mas motiva ahora mismo es ayudar a mis estudiantes en HABLAR Ingles. Normalmente falta mucha confiancia en hablar, aunque conocies como leer y escuchar y tengais un b2 en grammatika! eso debe cambiar.

En mis clases favoritos, lo que haremos es leermos algo real, porque asi aprendemos mas de la cultura de los que hablen Ingles... y despues lo hablamos! Y tu vas a aprender a defenderte, respondiendo a preguntas, explicando el porque y como TODO EN INGLES.

Al mejor te juntas con otro amigo/a y asi tenemos una sesion de practica muy bien.

Tambien hago clases de ayudo con deberes, con examenes y antes de viajar.
Como ves - hablo un poco de Castellano...pero en mis clases al mejor no lo voy a hablar, solo en emergencias!

We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also make sure the learner is not running in circles. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.

Here is the pathway we will follow in our lessons!
We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
