My name is Max and I study Development Studies at the University College in Maastricht. Teaching is a passion of mine and I have experience in teaching English to adults as well as children from the age of 6. I am open to having the lessons online or in-person. I am an energetic teacher who, above all, strives to empower my students by boosting their confidence and making it fun to learn English through easy conversations and exercises which match their unique level. I have worked with teaching English to adults for several years now and have a little experience with teaching children as well.

I provide tutoring and homework support for English. This does not only concern English grammar, spelling and vocabulary, but also reading comprehension, literature and translation theories.

In my lessons I focus entirely on what you need help with. For example, if you would like extra explanation about things you run into, or would like guidance with homework or when preparing a paper, a book summary or a speaking assignment, I would be happy to help you with that!

I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

I am a Native English speaker from the United States, studying in Maastricht from January 2023- July 2023. I have taught English to International Teaching Assistants at the University of Southern California and assisted with English classes in South America. I am open to all levels of English speakers.... I would love to do language exchange classes (ex. practice English/Dutch). I offer private classes to elementary school children who speak Spanish as their first language or are trying to learn Spanish. I can also help with math, although I don't speak Dutch. I am studying my first international baccalaureate in Maastricht and I am from Spain. It is not my first experience giving private classes, since last year I also did it. The schedule is flexible.

Nowadays, a good command of English can be very useful and even required for various reasons ranging from work to travel.

So whether it's to start learning this language or because you're having difficulty with it, everything is a good reason to work on it!

Individual lessons for reading comprehension, listening, oral and written expression. If needed, I can also provide a little help in Spanish (oral expression only), Dutch, and Latin.
