I’m a professional chess player and have been playing chess from a young age. I currently play in tournaments across the UK, which keeps me sharp and allows me to experience a variety of styles and strategies. I love chess not just as a game, but for the way it strengthens the mind, develops strategic thinking, and builds patience.

I enjoy teaching students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, and I tailor my lessons to each individual’s needs. My teaching style is patient, structured, and interactive, focusing on helping students develop their own style of play rather than just memorizing moves. I like to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable concepts and encourage students to think critically about their decisions on the board.

What makes me different as a coach is my emphasis on personal growth and creativity in chess. I respect each student’s pace, personality, and approach to learning, and I aim to make every lesson engaging, inspiring, and practical. My goal is to help students not only improve their skills but also gain confidence and enjoy the journey of learning chess.

I studied Engineering and Mathematics at university, a combination that strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and logical reasoning. My academic background has given me a solid foundation for breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps — a skill I carry directly into my teaching. I enjoy applying the same precision and structure I learned in my studies to help students grasp a variety of different ideas and approaches, ensuring they not only understand the material but also build confidence in their own abilities.

I have a diverse teaching background, having previously taught Maths and Science, which helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style tailored to the unique learning pace and personality of each student. Alongside academic subjects, I have a long-standing passion for chess. I have been teaching chess for many years, currently teaching in primary schools and offering private coaching for students of all levels. I am also actively competing in FIDE-rated tournaments to pursue my International Master (IM) title, which keeps me connected to the competitive chess world and brings real-world experience into my lessons.

My approach focuses on helping students develop their own style, think critically, and enjoy the learning process, combining structured guidance with creative exploration. By integrating analytical thinking from my academic background with interactive chess teaching, I aim to help every student grow in both skill and confidence.

Morocco has had many strong chess players who excelled in this game. One of these players is Federal Professor Osama Bouhdoun, who won the Moroccan speed play championship in 2006 and 2010, participated in several national tournaments and internationals and participated with the Moroccan national team at the Olympic Games in Calvia, Spain in 2004 and in Turin (Italy) in 2006.
