FINE ARTS. (shading, colour and charcoal pencils, soft pastels, oil pastel, crayons, and watercolour). PORTRAIT, STILL LIFE, AND LANDSCAPES.

    Dear Artists,

    Greetings!

In this class, feel free to imagine yourselves as Picasso, Monet or Turner! But the best thing would be to establish your own creative style, with in-practice experimentation, guided tutelage and well... strokes of passion. We shall explore in length and breath about various stylistic expressions, about their history, present contemporary usage and pleasure of creating something new out of diverse concepts. Be it hatching, etching, shading, colour theory, colour gradation and many other comprehensive yet easy concepts, you'll be the master of your painting in no time! Only the requirement is to put in sincere efforts and stay committed. Never mind going awry! Artists find shapes out of split clouds, colours out of shadows and what not! Just breathe in the patience, accredit yourself for what you do and pay a bit of attention to what might interest you. And set your ship to sail!

Guidance, preparation and lesson plan will be meticulously designed to cater the requirements of the individual and a bit of documentation wherever required, will be either delivered in word doc or a small ppt. Be it an intense workout on your painting or a walk along the valley of colours, it will be thoroughly engaging and fun experience. Might the student want to doodle, cartoon, pattern, shapes, or colouring book or any such craft? The idea is equally welcome and what all we need to do is engage ourselves sincerely into our work. And into the bargain, I as a tutor-cum- friend can also learn the new way of art and drawing! Be it pencils or watercolour together we can definitely make our inner selves happy and satisfied!

I hold a Bachelors of Arts with Honours in English. My degree incorporated Fine Arts as one of the main subjects. I have a score of 69 out of 70 in practical and a 25 out of 30 for the theory. I hope that my knowledge, and most importantly my passion will surely overcome any shortcomings that students might face from my side. Besides, I have had a freelancing experience of cloth painting with acrylic colours.

    Hope to see artists soon!
    Till then paint your way.

    Yours,
    Jasmine.

    About Me

    Dear Friends,

    Greetings!
This is Jasmine. I am more of a student than a tutor, a friend you might consider turning to while you prepare for your exams with a mug of coffee and scratched up calendars nearing the 'date', or simply to flow in, and gain a deeper understanding in anchoring your creative and academic interest in English subject.

Teaching for me is a secondary learning method. A fun learning responsibility that came my way when my friends were in need of understanding a text, perhaps grammar and so I
realized I could utilize this knack of humanitarian gesture more in the light of a tutoring skill! As long as we share a passion, sincerity and a drive towards creating our own spaces in English Literature we are on the same page, same tree, same shore, same algorithm, same car, same table and same age. In short, we match each other. I like to be kind-hearted and I aspire my students reciprocate interest in the subject. The Classes
are more of an exploration via experimentation than a certified ritual between pupil and teacher, in that it is way of discovering oneself gravitating towards Language and Literature.

My basic tutoring methods are primarily my own observations I gathered in my classes. Initially, the student must familiarize him/her with the text, recognize the problems or the gaps and thus make way for inquiries. But to do with the tediousness! I believe each learner possesses a unique way of putting things in critical lens and questioning! Each lesson shall be customized, to the best of my capacity to suit the requirements of the learner. An engaging atmosphere without hazarding over simplification of the texts and topics, without escaping the critical perspective is the main focus of our lessons. The majority of the lesson plan is purely based on learners' personal interaction with the subject and is dynamic. In initial stages, I will try to capture individual's level of involvement, and thereafter will carry out a division of the time period depending upon student' s need. For instance, if the student is familiar with text but is inquisitive about the in-depth analysis we can lean more into discussions rather than unpacking the text. The other way around, if the student desires to begin with the text itself we can alter accordingly. Something different for the practice for those who wish to simply exercise creativity with words, perhaps a grammar topic and so on. Suiting the convenience of the students, I can provide word docs, ppts or normal write up for the contents covered in the class. So, there are as many possibilities of appeals and preparations as there is the cosmos of learners!

A bit of homework and feedback is always necessary to keep the progress on track, therefore this is a little ceremony we must abide by. And as we grow we will realize that we have a pattern, a symmetry, raw and spontaneous but all together vivid and enriching expression to our learning program. Let us then begin this journey of knowing together the essence of Literature and Language!

    Hoping to see you soon!

    Yours,
    Jasmine

    Education

Currently pursuing my MA in English from City, University of London.
    (Oct 2023- Sept 2024).
Pursued my Bachelors of Arts with Honours in English with a first class division from MCM DAV College, Panjab University, Chandigarh in India.
    (August 2019- Sept 2022).

    Experience / Qualifications

I have experience of teaching my friends and fellow mates over the period of my higher education however, that is not to say that I do not acknowledge the importance of a proper experience and the level of refinement it brings to the lessons itself. Nonetheless, each beginning entails an amount of courage, a portion of responsibility, and lots of commitment. This is the official beginning for my delivering classes and taking up the lessons. I firmly believe that my passion will surely overcome any shortcomings encountered, and provide satisfactory lessons to all the learners and in return learn from them.
There is no end to defining Literature and Language. The power, importance and relevance of narratives, stories, legends, fiction, poetry, prose, short and long, imagination, words grow beyond what we initially assumed it to be: a mere juggle of letters across the page. Like any performance of sustained practice, nuanced skill, breathing patience, lasting observation and burning enthusiasm, learning Literature and unpacking the Language can in itself be an exploratory dive into the depths of your creative interests. This course is designed more as an exchange and interpretation of knowledge than a traditional pupil and teacher ritual, in that each student is filled with a potential story. Learners will find their way and place in the classes, and will eventually find themselves captured by their own developed understanding and fluidity of the subject. Learning from basics to something closed to refined, each class is dedicated towards adding into the learners' reservoir of passion and discoveries for the subject.

Interdisciplinary Arts & Thinking - The Visionary Freedom Lab
My name is Anita, and I am an interdisciplinary neurodivergent artist. I combine traditional and unconventional teaching methods with an innovative approach, adapted to the fast-paced era we live in, where attention spans can be short. My teaching integrates principles of psychology to better understand each student’s unique needs and aspirations. My goal is to nurture visionary children who have strong foundational values and a humble sense of self. I believe that true artistic mastery comes from human excellence. Also, in this way, students develop true self-confidence by evaluating their success based on personal progress rather than comparing themselves to others. This course is especially recommended for neurodivergent children (with Autism Level 1 - Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Hypersensitivity, and Anxiety) with multiple interests who struggle to choose, focus on, and manage various subjects. It helps develop both technique and discipline, enabling them to navigate multiple creative fields—essentially putting their eggs in several baskets while honing the skills necessary for diverse career opportunities in an uncertain job market. The program encourages a generalist mindset, promoting versatility without compromising creative integrity. Students will learn to refine their Zoom In/Zoom Out perspective, gaining the ability to see both the bigger picture and the finer details of any subject. The program's structure guides the individuals through three essential phases: Exploration Phase–Presentations, visual games, and foundational lessons introduce students to various disciplines, helping them discover their interests. Development Phase–They start defining their creative goals, practicing their skills, and trying out various artistic approaches. Mastery Phase - With a clear direction, students focus on long-term goals, whether as brand-focused professionals, university students, or future educators. Disciplines covered include architecture, painting, illustration, concept design (especially for gaming), traditional animation, digital art, children's book illustration, film, creative writing, and music (the art of songwriting). A Purposeful, Transparent Approach I work closely with each student, providing honest yet supportive evaluations to help identify their strengths. My goal is to guide serious and passionate learners and not to mislead families into unnecessary expenses. I strive to be straightforward in a respectful and encouraging manner, communicating if a child may not be suited for this path. A Valuable Investment in Thinking & Creativity Even if a student ultimately chooses a non-artistic career, this course fosters critical and creative thinking, which are essential skills for any field. The knowledge gained here is never wasted; it’s an investment in adaptability, innovation, and problem-solving abilities that transcend the arts.

Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)
