I run private English classes for individuals and siblings. The sessions are designed for beginners and elementary students and are packed with active games, focused activities and stories - all in English. I use reward charts and positive reinforcement to keep students motivated, and use lots of images, hand gestures and expression to help them learn as quickly as possible. The classes are designed for 4 - 7 year olds with a basic understanding / no understanding of English. They can be adapted for older students. I am a British native speaker with an English teaching qualification (CELTA - Pass A: highest grade) from International House London and a BA (Hons) Performing Arts degree (First class: highest grade) from Bath Spa University in England. I have been helping students learn English since 2012, including spending a year teaching English through theatre and creative activities in Beijing.

According to the level of expertise of the student (I accept students from A1 to B2 levels), I will guide the classes with the help of a workbook, focusing on the preparation for the Cambridge English Exam. Therefore, my focus extends to all areas of learning from Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. The methodology will depend on the preferences of each person. English is my second language and I have advanced training from a highly prestigious English School since I was 5 years old. I have a C2 proficient level certificate (CPE). I also have experience in giving private English lessons.

As you acquire a new skill or enhance the proficiency of a new language skill, you will be guided in grammar, vocabulary, conversations, dictions and oral articulations to aide you in communicating better with other English speakers worldwide...conversational dates, outdoor excursions & day-day routine exercise can be requested. I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

It is important that I know how the lesson is taught by the teacher. That is why I always prepare my lessons on the basis of the teacher's workbook. Then I teach from the very beginning. I am convinced that you can never build on things without a good foundation. Does this base not work? Then we'll just start over until we get the hang of it! For a further build-up in difficulty I fully adapt to the pace of the student, this is important to be able to remember everything in the long term, such as for a test within a few days. Apart from general English language learning, this type of classes will focus more on English business vocabulary, business writing, business conversation and listening comprehension. This class would be suitable for people who plan (or already do) to study business/economics, want to enhance business skills for the business trips/clients, want to communicate and network effectively with international people in English. For this class I will use several books as materials (popular editions) dedicated to Business English growth. I will involve much conversational practice and discussion activities of specific topics. The material (books, texts, exercises) will be shared with a student. All the classes and preparation for them will be adapted to each student individually. I obtained a BA degree in English Language and Literature, as well as an English MA degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven. This academic background has laid the foundation for my theoretical knowledge of the English language, especially my reading and writing skills. Additionally, I spent a semester in Dublin in order to improve my 'hands-on' speaking skills. I have a genuine passion for the English language which I hope to pass on to my students. For my classes, I sit down with students to discuss their needs, and attune my course content accordingly. I try to combine theory with practice to keep the classes interesting and lively. Listening and reading skills are especially important in the learning process as they are essential elements to developing an intuitive sense of a language. Furthermore, I attempt to incorporate audiovisual material in order to keep the course content engaging. I am also always happy to discuss and/or lend English books, graphic novels, podcasts, films, music, YouTube clips etc with/to my students.

English is my mother tongue and I have a passion for literature and the English language.
