Hello! I offer professional guitar lessons for electric, acoustic, classical, and ukulele in a friendly, stress-free atmosphere for both beginners and advanced players. I've been teaching for about six years and have been involved with the instrument for over twelve years.

I'm a finalist in global competitions and a winner in national contests, both as a solo artist and in groups.

Whether you're taking your first steps or need help with technique and theory, you've come to the right place! I approach the instrument comprehensively. We can work on specific styles: technical prog metal playing, rock, jazz standards, blues, classical, fingerstyle. I also have significant knowledge of recording and guitar processing in DAW software and can assist in that area as well.

Online lessons via Skype, Zoom, Google Meets

During lessons, we mainly focus on:

Developing proper playing technique,
Playing songs you enjoy,
Improvisation,
Mastering music theory,
Navigating the fretboard smoothly,
Having a great time
After each lesson, I provide educational materials.

I am a Belgian cellist and studied in Antwerp, where I finished my Masters before moving to Switzerland to do a postgraduate at the Zurich University of the Arts. Hi there! I'm a professional, award-winning guitarist with over 18 years of experience playing Jazz, Blues, Funk, Pop, and Finger-style. I have worked internationally as a bandleader, accompanist, and solo performer.

My approach to teaching is very pragmatic, time-efficient, and fun and I prefer not to overwhelm students with too much information or technical exercises. I believe that the number one priority both in playing and teaching music should be enjoyment, and that's why I tailor each lesson to the uniqueness of each student, making sure that we are learning about things that YOU want to learn about and moving towards YOUR unique goals.

Hello, welcome to my profile! My name is Richard, nice to meet you! I'm a Dutch (Netherlands) piano teacher and concert pianist with 25 years of experience.

As a piano teacher, I have extensive experience with students of all ages and levels, as well as different music styles.
I hold a Master's degree in Music in both piano performance and as a piano teacher. For the past 25 years, I have been teaching piano lessons (both individual and group lessons) at several music schools in the Netherlands, as well as private piano lessons in various European countries and the USA.

I'm available for in-person piano lessons at your home or at my studio, but I can also teach online (via Zoom), if you prefer so. I speak fluent English, Spanish, German, Dutch, and basic Italian, so I can teach in all of these languages.

As a concert pianist, I have made numerous concert tours as a soloist and played with renown orchestras in several countries, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, UK, and United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, I won prizes in several prestigious piano competitions, made various TV-, radio and album recordings, and attended masterclasses with world-renown pianists such as the master pianists Murray Perahia, Jacques Rouvier, Emanual Ax and Igor Roma.

My piano lessons are for students of all ages and levels, who would like to learn or improve their piano playing. Although my background is in classical repertoire, I also have experience in teaching popular and film music, among other types of music. I love all kinds of music, and I'm definitely open to teaching you how to play your favorite songs.

My lessons include learning and improving piano technique, reading sheet music (if not already mastered), playing by ear, music theory, musicality development, and fostering enjoyment in playing this beautiful instrument.

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better.

I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play.

When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises.

I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :)

I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition.

My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France.

My favorite composers are Bartok... and a bunch of anonymous medieval ones.
