I am Thijs (28), an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatorium in Ghent. I also took master classes and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups. My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. These building blocks together with the student's interests form the curriculum, so that it meets the student's wishes as best as possible. I also teach music theory/music theory. Some aspects of this are also offered during drum lessons. In the end, it's you who will enjoy it the most, so that's what I'm focusing on! I am a Belgian harpist (°1992) graduated from the conservatory of Antwerp, where I also followed the Alexander Technique. I gained experience in teaching at Art Academy De Poel (Ghent), Einstein Atheneum (Oostakker) and through private lessons. I like to pay a lot of attention to a good, relaxed posture and technique.
