Piano Lessons in Dubai – Conservatory-Trained | ABRSM /

Whether your child is playing their first scale or preparing for an ABRSM Grade 8, or you're an adult who always wanted to learn properly — this is where serious piano progress happens.
I trained at the Conservatory of Music Esteban Salas with a degree in Piano Performance, Teaching, and Ensemble Practice. Before moving to Dubai, I spent six years as a Soloist and Accompanist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Holguín, performing alongside international conductors and artists. I've taught over 300 students across all ages and levels, from 6-year-olds discovering the keyboard to adults returning to the instrument after decades away.
What makes my lessons different:
Every lesson is built around your goals — not a generic syllabus. In our first session I assess your current level, learning style, and what you actually want from music. From there, lessons combine technical foundation (finger technique, posture, rhythm, sight-reading) with the music you're motivated to play. Students who are bored don't practice. Students who love their pieces do.
For exam candidates, I prepare students for ABRSM, MTB and Trinity examinations at all grades. Scales, pieces, sight-reading, and aural training are all covered in a structured, timed progression so exam day holds no surprises.
For beginners, I use music theory and ear training from day one — not just note-reading — which builds musical instincts that last a lifetime.
For advanced students, I offer something rare in Dubai: specialist coaching in Harmonization, Improvisation, and Arrangement, drawn from my conservatory training and years of professional accompaniment work.
Lessons are available in English and Spanish, in person across Dubai or online via video call.

I'm Riuben, a professional pianist and educator based in Dubai with over a decade of teaching and performance experience.
I hold a degree in Piano Performance, Teaching, and Ensemble Practice from the Conservatory of Music Esteban Salas — one of Cuba's leading conservatories. My professional career includes six years as a Pianist Soloist and Accompanist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Holguín, where I collaborated with international conductors, performed in major concert seasons, and accompanied soloists and ensembles at the highest level.
I've taught piano at professional music schools and led workshops in musical harmonization and arrangement, reaching over 200 aspiring musicians across different countries. My students have consistently achieved strong results in graded examinations and have gone on to perform at competitions and recitals.
In Dubai, I teach through Emirates Piano — a private teaching and accompaniment service built on the belief that every student deserves high-quality instruction, regardless of their starting point. I work with children from age 6, teenagers, and adult learners, adapting my approach to each person's personality, pace, and musical taste.
