One-to-one music lessons inspired by the teachings of Suzuki, Havas, Hoppenot, and Galway. The lessons are adjusted according to age, level, and interests. The most important is that the student will learn in an enjoyable way for them. It is only possible to take 45 min. lessons when the student receives more than one lesson a week -which is highly recommended for anyone that might want to become a professional musician. Lessons longer than an hour are also possible for anyone over 14 years old. Other possibilities, a combination of instrumental/theory lessons and prices can be discussed.

I did my Bachelor's studies at the Conservatory of Salamanca (Spain) as well as a Master's degree in Musicology and Aggregation at the University of the same city. Already in Belgium I continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels by doing a Specialized Master in Violin and also in Baroque Violin. In addition to my classical music experiences, I have also played gypsy jazz and flamenco and free improvisation. The objective of the lessons will always be for learning music to be an enriching and pleasant activity. The repertoire and methodology will adapt to the interests and needs of each student.

I perform in Brussels as a violinist and I have performed classical, early music, and contemporary music and have studied at Stanford University and the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. I teach students with a mix of ear training and more traditional approaches to reading music and learning music theory. This violin course is designed for beginners and intermediate students, and aims to develop the essential technical and musical skills for playing smoothly and expressively. The program includes learning the fundamentals of violin playing, such as correct posture, grip, and producing a clear tone. You'll work on scales and arpeggios to develop your dexterity, as well as bowing techniques to master different stroke patterns. Sheet music reading, musical analysis, and music theory practice are integrated into the course to strengthen your theoretical knowledge and music-reading skills. Alongside this, you'll explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical works to more contemporary pieces, and will have the opportunity to work in a group to improve your listening and coordination with other musicians. The course also includes personalized guidance to structure your practice and prepare you for performances, with an emphasis on musical expression and managing stage fright. My approach aims to make each student independent and to encourage their musical development in a caring and motivating environment.

This course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level, and any age from 5-99! My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students. I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently on hiatus from a Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague . I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009. While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.
