Piano Lessons and Music Theory for beginner to advanced students.

Providing beginner to advanced piano lessons to students of all ages. I am a fun and enthusiastic teacher and adapt my teaching style in considerations to specific students needs, goals, and learning processes. I help nurture a student towards a career in the arts or as an extracurricular pastime.

Over
Since 2013 I have gained an extensive experience teaching students of all ages and abilities either privately or in specialist schools and universities. Within these appointments I have been responsible for teaching general musicianship, guiding students through the ABRSM grade exams, preparing students for competitions and public concerts and helping students with practice techniques in order to see week to week progress.
I tailor my lessons to the individual as I believe that this is one of the most important components of teaching one-to-one lessons as every student is unique and requires an individualised education to their needs and learning processes. It is important to have a balance between what ‘should' be learned in any curriculum and what ‘should’ be learned to gain a rounded musical education. I have always prided myself on my ability to apportion my time accordingly to tick both boxes, which is something I consider to be key in maintaining interest and enjoyment alongside syllabus and technical progress.
Aside from teaching, I perform regularly as a soloist and chamber musician. It is important to be able to demonstrate on the instrument during lessons as it inspires and motivates the student and provides them with a first hand reference point within the profession.
