I have experience in teaching both one to one and in a small classroom setting. My experience and knowledge has been gained through: A teaching qualification - TEFL. This involved presenting lessons in a classroom setting. Teaching at a Sunday school: I set up 4 different lesson sessions teaching children at 4 age groups. Working at music departments of the the BBC: I was a reviewer of music and created content on music for BBC websites. Being a volunteer for Music In The Round: I help out at gigs by assisting audience and band members. I have achieved a grade 8 in piano and have a post graduate certificate in music from Sheffield University. Helping others others to fulfil their potential is something I love doing, wether it be in music or in my other role as a trainer for Business Sheffield where I advise businesses on their websites. I am especially passionate about jazz and classical music. However I would first establish with the student/s what music inspires them and what music they would enjoy learning. Teaching is a continually evolving process where the teacher can take on board new and more effective ways of teaching so I am always open to new ideas. Read less
