Coming from London and living in Paris, I have years of touring experience in the USA and UK and have earned an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance from the Musician's Institue in Hollywood and a diploma in electric guitar teaching from the Royal College of Music. I am happy to teach all levels and ages. Lessons can be in English or broken French and can be catered to your needs whether it be preparation for exams, help with equipment or maybe just for fun.

I specialize in jazz, funk and improvisation. What I teach will help you out with every style. I will help you to develop your technique progressively by learning tunes according to your specific level. We also will work on improvisation exercises, so you can discover new ways of creating your own bass lines on the spot. Lastly, I want to work with you on bass lines by the great bass players from the past.

I have been a guitar teacher in England for three years, teaching twenty-five 11-15 year olds at a school. I have a first class degree in Music from the London College of Music. I teach classical, acoustic and electric guitar at all levels, in either English or French.

Holder of a Higher Diploma and a Bachelor of Music (3 years) both obtained at the Tech Music School in London, I offer a teaching on all styles of music and the best to achieve the goals that you are fixed. I adapt my teaching method as much as possible to the student's profile, according to his age, his expectations, his desires and his difficulties. My classes are for beginners and guitarists of a more advanced level. Learning music must be a pleasure!

- About the course-- My method is to work the technique and the musicality at the beginning of the tastes of the student so that the objectives are always stimulating. I try to develop as quickly as possible to the students, that is to say to make them able to target their own difficulties and to invent the exercises to solve them. --About me-- I am a guitar teacher for over 15 years, privately, music school (Kraainem, Waterloo, Enghien) and internship (AKDT). I started the guitar 25 years ago and have never stopped. I went through all styles: from classical to pop songs and then to electric guitar: blues, rock and then jazz (with Frankie Rose). Later, I developed flamenco (with Karim Baggili), Brazilian (with Osman Martins), gypsy music and Eastern European music (with Tcha Limberger). I am also versed in gypsy jazz. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (…). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. After having agreed on the pieces / songs to be worked on, the relevant score is shared and given at the lesson. The teacher goes through it, while he also plays it live to the pupil for even more reach. He then explains what needs to be clarified in order to prepare any homework. Finally, Alex creates a video tutorial about the piece or song that needs to be learned for the next lesson. This gives extra support when practising at home, in order to avoid any doubt and keep motivation up. A report is then created to keep track of what has been done as well as what needs to be worked on, in order to unlock technical requirements and complete a specific repertoire in a constructive and efficient way.
