CLARINET LESSONS (Classical/Klezmer/Jazz) PROFESSOR GRADUATE FROM THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND CONSERVATORY OF PARIS
Welcome :) If you want to learn the clarinet, you've come to the right place! I am a professional clarinetist myself, graduated from the Royal College of Music in London (Global No. 1 Institution for Performing Arts). I am currently pursuing my concert career between Paris and London. Between us the choice to become a clarinetist is admit the original! But why this instrument rather than another? I was hesitant myself when I started. I found the sax.. “cooler”. But I finally fell in love with the clarinet. This instrument offers an incredible variety of repertoire! First of all Classical Music: The clarinet developed at the same time as Mozart. The composer was immediately seduced by this new instrument with its soft, pearly sound; he fell in love with her and wrote a magnificent concerto for her (one of the most beautiful ;)). Subsequently, composers such as Weber, Schumann and Brahms will deploy all their knowledge and sensitivity to make the clarinet sing. Jazz: Since the appearance of this new genre, the clarinet reigns as a diva among instruments. Gershwin dedicated a legendary solo to him in “Rhapsody in Blue”. The instrument shines with this effect of its own: the glissando (sliding from one note to another in a progressive and continuous manner). Subsequently, clarinetists such as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Buddy de Franco... will forever mark the history of Jazz with their wild solos. Klezmer: If you don't know this genre, don't wait. Open Spotify or YouTube and type “Giora Feidmann Let's be Happy”. Sorry for your neighbors. You won't be able to resist the urge to dance and jump around. The clarinet, through the variety of sounds it can produce, perfectly imitates the modulations of the human voice: laughter, crying, singing... How not to fall instantly in love with this instrument which allows such a wide range of expressions? I have been teaching for 6 years now and enjoy sharing my passion for music on stage as much as in a more intimate setting during a private lesson. I had the opportunity to refine my pedagogy throughout my various experiences in teaching and find simple and effective methods to allow the student to progress quickly. My career as a classical conservatory musician and Jazz/Klezmer concert performer gives me the opportunity to offer a varied education. I guarantee that in a month you will already be performing your first track in front of your awe-inspiring family! I offer private lessons of Clarinet and or Solfège for children, adults, all ages from beginner to intermediate / advanced level (1st cycle / CEM / Specialized cycle). My teaching is based on a personalized musical follow-up: Discovery - Methodical learning - Initiation to improvisation, Jazz or Klezmer - Perfection -THE PLEASURE OF PLAYING- Music is a game. Despite the difficulties that the student may encounter in his progress, it is very important never to lose this fundamental dimension. Mozart was also of a very mischievous nature and it was said of him that he was an eternal child! My goal as a teacher is above all to transmit a passion for music. Learning an instrument can be long and tedious and the approach of some conservatory teachers is sometimes abrupt and academic. For my part, I favor a playful teaching adapting to the capacities of each one. My experience as a concert performer in the Jazz/Klezmer group Kanaï Trio, of which I am the founding member, offers me the possibility of extending my teaching to improvisation and to different musical styles (Jazz, Traditional Yiddish/Klezmer Music, Eastern Europe, the Balkans). My classical music studies at the Conservatoire Régional de Paris allowed me to develop my instrumental technique but also my knowledge of musical analysis, music theory, singing and music history. I consider these theoretical fundamentals essential to the study of an instrument. The student must above all understand the music before being able to flourish in the interpretation of the piece. One of the common difficulties for beginners or intermediate students is not being able to manage the air well, running out of steam quickly and thus losing the pleasure of performing an entire piece. In reality, the clarinet does not require the endurance of a marathon runner, but just an appropriate breathing technique: I have therefore developed a method based on breathing exercises, the search for good posture (specific to each pupil) and physical relaxation (with the elimination of tensions and parasitic gestures). The student will also have simple and effective technical tools to quickly overcome difficulties (placement of the mouthpiece, precise positioning of the fingers, etc.). See you soon ! :) PS. : -Possibility of traveling to your home (modular increase depending on travel time) LEZIONI IN ITALIANO REED POSSIBILI.

clarinet teacher, We can learn about the clarinet at all levels
The clarinet is a single-reed musical instrument in the woodwind family, with a nearly cylindrical bore and a flared bell. Clarinets comprise a family of instruments of differing sizes and pitches. The clarinet family is the largest woodwind family, ranging from the BB♭ contrabass to the E♭ soprano. The B♭ soprano clarinet is the most common type, and is the instrument usually indicated by the word "clarinet". German instrument maker Johann Christoph Denner is generally credited with inventing the clarinet sometime around the year 1700 by adding a register key to the chalumeau, an earlier single-reed instrument. Over time, additional keywork and airtight pads were added to improve the tone and playability. Today the clarinet is a standard fixture of the orchestra and concert band and is used in classical music, military bands, klezmer, jazz, and other styles.

Clarinet/music theory/music introduction classes, any level
Clarinet classes are made of two main parts : - one part to warm up (scales, games, breathing...) - another part about instrumental technicality (mouthpiece position, fingering, rightness...) The first part is dedicated to one particular technique at a time (legato, pizzicato, rhythm...). The second one consists of studying one piece from classical, jazz or klezmer repertory. Student and teacher will be able to play duets together. You are free to submit any piece/score you would like to play.

Learn Music with Cooper: Sax, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Guitar, Harmonica
I teach saxophone, clarinet, flute, harmonica, and bass guitar online(virtually). I think it's very important from the beginning to find your individual voice on your instrument. Technique is important, but it will be taught simultaneously with artistic voice. One of the great things about music is being to express your version of yourself on your instrument. What's the point in learning scales if you can't play the song you want to play? From day one, we will focus on all aspects of learning, and of music, at the same time. I'm super patient and I love to teach, and I'll cater my teaching style to the individual student. I look forward to teaching you! About me: I started playing music when I was I ten. I was awarded a partial scholarship to the University of Idaho's Lionel Hampton School of Music where I majored in Classical Saxophone Performance, where I won the Outstanding Jazz Soloist award (2004). I then received a partial scholarship to the Berklee College of Music and studied there with a principal instrument of saxophone, and graduated with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production in 2009. I've spent the last ten years performing full-time, on cruise ships (Carnival, Princess, Holland-America, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, The World), land tours (iLa Mawana national tour), theatre productions (For The Record: The Brat Pack, Broadway's After Midnight), and independent bands (Samsaya Trio, Vivian Clement Quartet). My performing experience has taken me to 70 countries and all seven continents. I've self-recorded and self- produced multiple albums. I've been featured as an arranger in many settings, including Robert McFletcher's LOVE. I have three of my own shows (A Public Saxophone and other Bedtime Stories, Just Sax, and CBSAXLIVE). While I studied saxophone as my primary instrument, I also play flute, clarinet, harmonica and bass guitar at a professional level. My degree is in composition and recording/production, so I would love to help anyone getting started in that area. I also teach music theory for those interested in learning theory.

Clarinet and Saxophone classes online to develop your own musicality
In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it. I will provide my own materials in pdf, video and audio. There is no age limit.

Clarinet and bass clarinet lessons in Brussels for everyone.
I am a professional clarinetist graduated with distinction at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels (Master Degree in Clarinet) and holding a Bachelor Diploma from the Music Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). Currently I am studying for a Master's Degree in Bass Clarinet, so we can combine both instruments in my lessons. I teach students of all ages and levels. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes. On top of playing, I can also offer lessons on harmony, form analysis and counterpoint that focus on understanding the structure of music. My lessons will already include many different aspects of the music being taught but there is the option of focusing the theoretical or the practical. i am looking forward to teaching you music!
