The way I approach TOEFL/IELTS preparation lessons depends on:

After a short assessment, we'll practice (some relaxed, some timed) using both short and long versions of past exam questions. I'll teach you to recognize and use the skill sets that apply to each section and learn how they intersect. This way, you'll gain a clearer understanding of how the exam works, lower your test anxiety, and feel more confident on your exam day.

Hi, I'm Margie! I've been a certified ESOL teacher and tutor since 2018. Before deciding to work independently online, I taught in both traditional school settings and the private sector.
I teach English for individuals living/working in international environments where English is required, and exam preparation (TOEFL, IELTS). I have a friendly, relaxed style in my lessons, where learners can feel comfortable speaking and asking questions.
My professional interests include etymology, medical English and language acquisition theory. Outside of work I love learning new creative hobbies and listening to music.
Like a lot of English tutors, I love to travel. I've lived in several countries and am always planning my next destination for short and long term stays.

Since 2018 I've been teaching and tutoring English to students across the world. I've taught in the private sector, in schools, and now privately online. Many of my students work for international companies or have relocated (or plan to relocate) for work or study and have an immediate need to improve their English.
