My experience as a private Italian language tutor began after graduating from college. At that time, I realized that besides music, my true passion was teach Italian, the most musical language in the world, in my opinion. After moving to New York for a PhD, I dedicated some time to attending a course at the Italian Academy of Columbia University to become a certified teacher of Italian for foreigners. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to teach Italian to dozens of people of all ages and nationalities with outstanding results. I utilize a highly personalize approach depending on the level and the goals of the students. The grammar is going to have an important yet secondary role in the learning process that will take place in a more natural and intuitive way. (this approach also derives from my own experience in self-teaching Spanish, Mandarin and French). For example, I will encourage the student to have a sort of diary that we will use to delve into specific conversation and grammar topics.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and putting the focus on the functional aspect of the language. For beginners, I usually follow a specific program, I prepare a course, and for each lesson, I send students the files that I scan from the various books. Also, the lessons can be essentially developed as conversations on specific subjects.
