About Me

I recently moved from Fukui to Kyoto to study Japanese at a language school. I love living in this fascinating country. In my free time, I enjoy reading, sports, music, as well as keeping up with political affairs.

Teaching in London as a private tutor led to me applying to teach abroad in Japan. While in London, I assisted students who struggled with essay and creative writing, reading comprehension, and middle school level science and maths. In Japan, I have taught both English and essay writing skills. I also have experience preparing students for EIKEN and university interviews.

As a tutor, my patient and calm manner as well as my ability to convey complex ideas in simple terms has helped students under my tutelage achieve significant growth as well as overcome weaknesses.

It is rather difficult to urge 14-16 y. o. children to be interested in studying a foreign language, moreover at school. It seems too dull. However, each good teacher has his/hers own secrets how to turn learning, say, grammar into fun.
I specialise in tutoring English for High School. So, we also have to be a bit serious. We can prepare for the exam by reading interesting stories, watching anime films and talking on everyday themes and topics. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports. Step by step English becomes a part of your life and you realise that in contemporary world you can't survive without the knowledge of English.

Whether this is your first English lesson or you are at an advanced level of speaking, I am here to help fill any gaps and let your English learning continue. My Japanese is pretty limited, so the classes will be held entirely in English.

This service is specifically targeted for current IB DP students that are studying in History. As an IB Graduate, I understand exactly what IB is looking for in terms of their Internal Assessments and Examinations. I am also very well versed in helping students like you understand key concepts and specific techniques that you will need to succeed in the course.

This service will mostly help you reinforce the knowledge that you've learned in class, and ways to use that knowledge properly in both your papers and your exams.
