About Me
My name is Ilana. I just graduated the IB DP programme in May 2023. I really enjoy biology and took it at higher level and I would love to share my passion for the subject with other students. I just finished high school and so all the content is still quite fresh to me and I have good experience studying for IB exams and writing IA's.
Education
I completed the 'International Baccalaureate program and received my diploma in July 2023 and now I am studying a bachelor's in liberal arts and sciences at the university of Groningen.
Experience / Qualifications
I took art as one of my IB middle years program subjects as well as ran a club called 'Terapia Artistica' (Art Therapy) for 2 years where I taught about 20 students how to use art as a way to express their emotions.

I received my International Baccalaureate diploma with Biology as one of my higher-level subjects in May 2023. I consistently got 6's and 7's in my biology exams, including the final exam. I am willing to offer support with IB style questions (structured and multiple choice) as well as tutor areas of the subject that are challenging and look over IA's. I believe that I am equipped to tutor both higher-level and standard-level IB students as well as MYP students studying biology. I have been tutoring online since September 2023 and have recieved great feedback from clients!
After completing my IB MYP with a 7 in Biology, I am confident in teaching MYP IB Biology online. I use interactive and engaging activities and teaching strategies to teach Biology concepts, gain familiarity with exam-style questions and mark schemes to better prepare students for their online MYP IB exams. I have access to platforms such as "Save My Exams " from which I will share past papers and other helpful resources.
