Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Luz. I am a singer, and I teach singing using the Rabine Method and the Alexander Technique. The Rabine Method is a vocal technique and pedagogy, and the Alexander Technique is a method developed to improve posture and the way we use our bodies. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE VOICE: Singing has been a lifelong passion for me, but I used to be quite shy and introverted. I was afraid to sing in front of others, even though a part of me longed to do so. At the age of 15, I began taking singing lessons to create a safe space for myself to sing, where only my teacher would listen. Slowly, I started performing live and began to truly enjoy it. However, over time, I encountered difficulties with my vocal technique, and my enjoyment of singing faded. After an extensive search for the right teachers to help me overcome these challenges, I discovered the Alexander Technique and the Rabine Method. That's when my journey towards progress and joy truly began. ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE AND THE RABINE METHOD: The Alexander Technique teaches people how to reduce general body tension and move in harmony with their body's mechanics, paying close attention to the spine and joints. Within just three months of weekly lessons, I noticed improvements in both my posture and my voice. I came to understand that the vocal system is intricately connected to the entire body, and singing could be a harmonious experience for both my mind and my body. This newfound joy inspired me to help others in the same way, leading me to become an Alexander Technique teacher. Around the same time, I also discovered the Rabine Method, an exceptional vocal technique with a profound understanding of the phonatory system and a clear pedagogical approach that caters to individual student needs. It is centered on recognizing the unique learning process of each student and determining what they are ready to absorb. Through my lessons, my goal is to transmit the joy and happiness that singing can bring. I hope my students will learn to focus on the learning process and be surprised by the results. My teaching approach doesn't solely prioritize outcomes; it values the joy of the journey to get there. I firmly believe that everyone can sing because we all possess the same vocal system. The key lies in training and developing awareness of our current abilities so that we can work with what we bring to each lesson. MY EXPERIENCE WITH STUDENTS: I have worked with a diverse range of students, including those who: - Initially struggled to sing in tune but made great improvements in less than a year. - Were once extremely shy and introverted but experienced a boost in confidence and joy while singing in front of me. - Were musicians with their own bands but lacked knowledge on how to care for their vocal cords during performances. - Simply needed a supportive space to unleash their expressiveness and relish their voices. - Had unpleasant experiences with previous teachers who crashed their confidence. - Didn ́t like their own sound due to a disorganized technique

Trusted teacher: SPECIALISED IN TEACHING ADULTS. Would you like to learn one of the instruments which have more style possibilities? Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...? The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Trusted teacher: “Don't play the saxophone. Let it play you.” – Charlie Parker Every person has their own musicality—we just need to let it come out. My goal as a teacher is to help you discover how much fun, joy, and passion music can bring. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, I will guide you in developing both your technical skills and your personal voice on the saxophone. I began my musical journey in Verona, Italy, where I graduated in Classical Saxophone in 2017. Soon after, I started teaching saxophone at the Lizard Music Academy in Garda and introducing music to children in primary and middle schools. Later, my passion for improvisation and creativity led me to continue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I specialize in Jazz and Latin music. I believe music has no age: you are never too young or too old to express yourself through an instrument. If you feel drawn to the warm, expressive sound of the saxophone, let’s begin this musical journey together. “Whatever you think can’t be done, somebody will come along and do it.” – Thelonious Monk SAXOPHONE LESSONS: To truly express your musical ideas on the saxophone, you need a strong connection between body, mind, and instrument. That’s why every lesson begins with a focus on sound and technique—developing your tone, breath control, and body awareness. You will learn how to shape your own saxophone sound and how to “sing” through the instrument. For beginners, this process may take a few weeks, but it quickly shows how musical practice can positively influence not only your playing but also your body, emotions, and creativity. To make your learning experience enjoyable and personal, my lessons are always adapted to your goals and musical interests—whether that’s reading music, improvisation, or other areas you want to explore. Together, we will also build your own personal repertoire of songs that reflect who you are. The second part of each lesson will be dedicated to working on these pieces, so that you develop not only technique but also musical expression. HOW MY LESSONS WORK In my lessons, the main focus is sound. A beautiful saxophone sound has the power to captivate an audience with just a single note. That’s why we always start by working on long tones across the full register of the instrument. The more natural and relaxed your embouchure and body are, the more easily the reed will vibrate—resulting in a warmer, personal sound. We will then explore saxophone technique, including scales, arpeggios, vibrato, tonguing, dynamics, overtones, and playing in both the low and high registers. These exercises will give you the technical foundation to express yourself freely. From there, we’ll connect technique with music: 1. Harmony & Improvisation – We’ll work directly on the songs you love. By transcribing, analyzing, and exploring harmony, you’ll learn how to improvise over chord progressions and develop your own repertoire. 2. Reading Music – An essential skill if you want to play in bands, ensembles, or orchestras. We’ll practice sight-reading and written repertoire to strengthen this ability. 3. Audition Preparation – If your goal is to enter a conservatory (classical or jazz), I have experience guiding students through auditions. We can focus on etudes, required repertoire, and exam preparation. Above all, my approach is personalized to your goals and interests. Whether you want to play your favorite songs, learn to improvise, or prepare for advanced studies, I’ll guide you step by step. I believe that music makes the mind free, and that everybody can play—it’s just a matter of practicing and listening in the right way. If you feel that the saxophone is your instrument... what are you waiting for? 🎷 Let’s make music together! FOR THE CURIOUS (and the Nerdy!): For students who want to dive deeper into the world of the saxophone, I also offer special listening sessions dedicated to the instrument’s role in music history and across different styles. We’ll explore the saxophone in classical repertoire (Gershwin, Bizet, Milhaud, Rota, Bernstein, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman...), and then follow its journey through popular music: Blues, Jazz (Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins...), Latin, Rock & Roll, Pop, and beyond—right up to today’s music. Together, we will listen to the milestones of great composers and performers who shaped the history of this fantastic instrument. It’s a journey of discovery into the beauty of music through the saxophone—one that will inspire you, expand your listening, and deepen your passion for this amazing art form.

Trusted teacher: Do you want to work on classical repertoire? Do you want to learn songs from around the world or invent your own? do you want to play happy birthday to your best friend with a Cello? Let's explore together this beautiful instrument with pieces that you like, finding different ways to play one thing, becoming actors on the stage of music... Let's create games to develop creativity and technique, those that will help you to personalise your way of playing. With music, we learn much more than just playing pieces. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can i offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Extra activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies! Do you have doubts or need more information? Don't hesitate to write me a message!

Finally, even though I like incorporating all the elements mentioned above into my lessons I foremost focus on tailoring the lessons around the needs of every student and helping in any way I can their growth of musical curiosity. Fabian is an excellent tutor. My daughter needed to pass the CCVX and Boswell Beta exams in Chemistry to qualify for admission at a Dutch University after having completed high school in the United States. Fabian was able to explain complex ideas in a simplified manner and created a comfortable learning environment for my daughter to thrive in. He adapted his teaching to her learning style so she was able to really engage with what was being taught. The result was her successfully passing both exams this summer and subsequently being admitted to the university. She is now in her first semester at the university and feeling confident and thankful for Fabian's support in getting her there!

I had my first Italian lesson with Davide on 24/9/21. My first impression was very good because he does a very good assessment before he starts of your level and of your goals and based on that he adopts his learning approach perfectly yo your needs. I give Davide a 5 rating after one lesson and would be very surprised if my view of him will change. On top of his ability as a teacher, he is a very nice and modest person. He knows how to drive a conversation and seems have a lot of patience! Looking forward to the next lesson!
