Latin Tutoring — Specializing in Ecclesiastical Latin Would you like to learn Latin in a way that helps you read and understand Latin texts? I offer personalized Latin lessons for beginners and continuing students, with a particular focus on Ecclesiastical Latin and the Latin of the Christian tradition. Whether you are starting Latin from scratch, working through a particular textbook, studying Latin for personal enrichment, or hoping to read Scripture, prayers, liturgical texts, and other works of the Christian tradition in the original Latin, lessons can be adapted to your level and goals. We will work carefully with cases, conjugations, vocabulary, syntax, and the relationships between words, helping you develop a strong foundation for reading and translating Latin independently. My primary interest and specialization is Ecclesiastical Latin, including its traditional pronunciation and the rich tradition of Latin Christian texts. I can also assist students studying Classical Latin, depending on their needs and level. Lessons are relaxed, patient, and tailored to the individual student. No previous knowledge of Latin is required. If you have a particular book, text, or course you are currently studying, you are very welcome to bring it to the lesson.
