FR/SP My name is Sebastián, Argentine trumpeter, trombonist and composer based in Basel. Since I was 18 years old I am working as a professional musician. I have worked in many educational institutions, such as EMC (School of Contemporary Music) Berklee International Network as Professor of Trumpet, jazz ensemble, and musical notation, in “Orquesta Juvenil del Sur,” an orchestra for underprivileged children, as a trumpet teacher at St Andrew's Scots School and as a private teacher. Apart from my teaching experience I was selected to participate in the renowned Focusyear Basel program along with seven international musicians at Jazzcampus Basel during 2020/2021 and after the end of the program I decided to start a master in composition in the same institution. Already the first year I had the honor of being chosen to arrange music for the wind ensemble of the prestigious MIT University (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and also to write original music for the Jazzcampus Big Band. I graduated from the Jazz career of the Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I received an Honorable Mention from the National Endowment for the Arts from Argentina in Unpublished music in the Jazz category and I also released my first album released by the Chicago label, United States Ears & Eyes Records. In 2019 I was chosen as revelation musician by the Argentine media "El Intruso". I am also working as a producer recording in my home studio.

I specialise in contemporary styles (anything from the last 100 years), and have found many of my students typically are: - Young children, who's parents are looking for a teacher who is more interested in flexibility and helping the child become inspired and self-motivated, rather than crushed by overly academic and strict teaching. - Adults who feel like their childhood instrumental learning has left them with large gaps in their knowledge and ability, particularly when it comes to improvisation and playing music without sheet music. - Learners who are interested in developing their musicianship, and curious about, but also a bit scared by JAZZ. - Learners who are interested in recording music, and want advice on both music and professional goals and the industry. I am happy to teach grades, but have a strong teaching philosophy that focuses around more specifically tailored learning paths that focus on giving the student the tools needed to become self-sufficient playing and creating music, whether it be to relax at home, play with others, or write songs. Trumpet Lessons For Anybody Who Would Like to Learn! (Amsterdam)

My son has been now been studying with Lachlan for a few months. He had stopped playing trumpet because he schedule got very busy and it was easier for him to just give up. Now he is back playing and loving it. Lachlan is fun and very clear/easy to follow. He is flexible with his teaching and keeps the lessons lively and well paced. My son is happy to make the necessary time for both his lessons and practice. We would strongly recommend Lachlan to anyone and to any level of player

I have been playing trumpet for about 5 years, growing every time. I wanted a new trumpet teacher to help my trumpet technique and skill of improvisation. From the first lesson I really liked Oleg. He has a natural way of teaching, is very knowledgeable, and respectful to your level. He is really a good teacher, and worth signing up with. Recommend 100%. I am still happily going to Oleg, every week!

Can highly recommend Andrea. He was highly passionate about helping me improve and even spent extra time outside the lesson to help me fully grasp a topic or provide some extra material. I came in with pretty specific goals, and he listened to them and adapted the lessons to fit my preferences. On top of all that that his skill and love for the trumpet and jazz is obvious and infectious.
