Especially if you don’t have a great teacher next to you, who will guide you and turn the struggles into fun, and the difficulties into exciting challenges!

I’m an experienced jazz pianist, teacher and music producer, and whether you are an absolute beginner, or you want to know better how to play jazz, or you want to start producing your own music, I’m the person for you!

It will be a great journey together, at the end of which you’ll be stable on your new musician feet, and most importantly, you’ll do it through a fascinating and progressive journey, tailor-made on your needs to have a learning slope that is just right for you.

I'm a jazz and classical pianist, and now I'm here in Zurich to studying to become a composer for movies.

I taught for many years: some of my colleagues and I created a cultural association in Milan called Play Now that is present in several primary schools teaching music instruments and introductory music.

I've been also assistant to Tony Arco, drum professor at the Hochschule Der Musik in Milan, writing music for him and teaching singers and musicians how to play together.

I wrote three books that synthesize my approach to teaching piano to young children (6-10): one is about theory, another is about technique and reading, and the last one is the repertory one.

I love writing music, and I hope it will become my profession, but I love teaching as well, and I'd love to teach here in Zurich now that I'm here.

Education

I studied privately classical piano with Massimo Della Bassa, then I went studying Jazz Piano with Paolo Peruffo and Franco D'Andrea at Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado, in Milan. Currently in a Masters Degree in Music for Media at ZHdK

My name is Nuriya, graduated from Zurich University of the Arts. I would like to introduce the incredible world of sound and music making. I believe thoughout music we can learn a lot: not only develop the musical ear and gain the necessary knowledge but also dive deeper into our inner self and emotions and possible ways to transmit it.

I am a professional flute player but also studied piano in Russia for several years and that is why I will be happy to accompany you while you play the flute or teach you how to play the piano.

I have experience in other fields, such as jazz and musical, and I have already been teaching for a couple of years.

It is important to me to respond to the specific wishes of the student for the electric bass. That means that you can show me what you would like to achieve musically. This can be, for example, a piece that you would like to learn or a specific groove. We will then work together on a program especially for you to achieve your goals.
I am very open in style and also love improvising.

You will learn how to make voice and vocal recordings, which software and hardware is useful.
You will be given basic knowledge of working with a microphone and pickup, both on Windows and MacOS computers. You will also learn how to record an instrument.

My method is mainly focused on the autonomy of the student and the joy of making beautiful music.
