- I focus my lessons first and foremost on fun. Without passion and enjoyment, learning an instrument is pointless. Scales and exercises of course come into it, but I often blend these with musical examples chosen from the pupils’ preferred musical tastes.
- I will always give tasks and homework to do in between classes.
- I like my students to come to me with artists they enjoy listening to so that we can recreate their work in lesson time.
- I am a professional gigging and touring musician. I have, over the last year, returned to teaching to inspire people that it is possible and attainable to have a career in music.

I am an italian piano teacher with many years of experience. I encourage music study not only for performance success, but also for personal development. I can teach both classical piano or modern (jazz/rock/pop) piano. I really enjoy sharing music knowledge with my students, I love working with very young children and with old beginners as well. I am a very patient and approachable piano teacher and always study music pedagogy to be a better teacher.

BIO:
Silvio, born in 1986, is a pianist, composer and educator originally from Italy. He began studying classical piano at the age of eleven and went on to major in piano at the Conservatory of Lecce, graduating with full marks in 2005. After falling in love with jazz and improvisation when he was nineteen, he attended Lecce State Conservatory on a full jazz scholarship in 2011.
Silvio specializes in many styles of piano and has received numerous prizes at national piano competitions.
In addition to being a musician, Silvio has expertise in business. He graduated with first class honours (110/110 cum laude) in Economics and Finance from the University of Salento in 2013.
His album “Flowing” is the result of a prize in the music competition "Giuseppe Tricarico" (May 2016 - Gallipoli, Italy) which he won and which allowed him to produce this record. It was released in December 2018.
In September 2018 Silvio had the chance to lead workshops about jazz music in Santo Domingo at Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, National Conservatory of Music and Academia de Música de Patricia Logroño.
In June 2019 he was one of the Top Prize winners at the International Online Quebec Music Competition (Montreal, Canada), where he played his own composition called “Latin Jazz Etude – Una Noche en el Barrio”, and in July 2019 he won the First Place at the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition (Summer Edition).
Since December 2018 he has been collaborating as sheet music arranger with a US-based website, the world's leading digital sheet music retailer.
Silvio is also a music teacher with many years of experience, whose students range in age from 5 to 60 plus. He encourages music study not only for performance success, but also for personal development. In 2019 he attended music pedadogy courses at the Conservatory of Lecce.
Since 2014 he‘s been the vicepresident of the Music School and Association “Oda – Officina Degli Artisti” (Taurisano, Italy).

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

My name is Juan Ignacio. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, guitar technician (I repair/build solid body and chambered guitars), music tutor and producer/mixer.

I have 23 years of experience as a guitarist and 18 of them have been as a guitar tutor (beginner, intermediate and advance).

I can teach you at my private studio or at yours. Each lesson will be unique, fun and creative. BIOGRAPHY:

Juan was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of nine he started teaching himself how to play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums; before joining local bands and performing around the country.

After studying sound engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, he worked as a live sound engineer and separately on a number of music productions in his home studio. He also trained as a luthier/guitar technician, building and repairing stringed instruments alongside his father, using his surname as a brand.

In 2014 Juan moved to London to develop his skills and connections. His passion and commitment to music led him to working at guitar repair workshops around the capital city, including Camden Town and the well-known Denmark Street. He repaired guitars for artists like the legendary Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Mercury Prize-winner Michael Kiwanuka, Grammy-winners Mumford & Sons, and King Krule. He later taught Brit Award-winners Bastille how to play the traditional rhythms of his home country.

In 2017, Juan started composing a wide range of music genres for all kinds of audio-visual media productions, including advertising campaigns for: Samsung, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Nesquik, Avon and Breil

At the same time, he played with a host of different bands as a guitarist, and busked around town. Juan was hired to work as a guitar technician at Abbey Road on live recording sessions. During this period spent in the studio, mastering engineer Wharton spotted Juan’s potential and encouraged him to focus more of his attention on writing, releasing and performing his own material

I studied drums, congas, timbales and other percussions with remarkable teachers with particular attention to Cuban techniques and developing my own style in jazz improvisation and I can pass on my skills with individual lessons or for little groups (max 3) by teaching drums, congas, latin percussions and jazz improvisation. I always make sure all pupils enjoy their lessons giving a friendly and fun approach to them. Regardless of age and skill level I want my students to be able to enjoy their time practicing and playing. I can prepare students for all grades of the ABRSM or other boards exams and I complement the lessons with music theory and aural skills training when needed. I can also offer music theory lessons that being to complement music education, prepare for the ABRSM music theory exams or just to expand the knowledge in that area.
The approach for in-person and online tuition are quite similar. I effectively teach using both methods with great results in both. When online, I make sure they are of exceptional quality and the pupil gets the same results they would get in person. They are ideal if traveling is a limitation for the student or just want to take them from the comfort of their home using their own instrument.

My name is Andrea, I have recently concluded my Artist's Master in keyboard instruments at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. My passion for music induced me to apply in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” in the course of Harpsichord as my principal study. After 10 years studying music and obtaining the diploma of “Grado de Enseñanzas Profesionales” in the conservatory, I developed a deep interest for Classical and Early music for keyboard instruments.

Discovering a historical and musical universe, I decided to continue my performing and theoretical investigation studying the bachelor course in keyboard instruments including piano, harpsichord and organ. I had the amazing opportunity to obtain a scholarship and study at the "Conservatorio Tartini di Trieste", in Italy. Working with exceptional teachers, i was able expand my linguistic abilities and cultural appreciation for the expressive diversity of Keyboard music. I have discovered the magnificent variety between many composers all around Europe and the distinct features and techniques they utilized to improvise and to embellish their pieces. During this artistic journey, i have had extraordinary performance experiences as a soloist including playing at the Parlament of Brussels and the National Gallery in Bosnia. Recently, living in London has inspired me to take part in a wide variety of exciting projects such as performing as a keyboard accompanist in Opera Scenes and with the Guildhall Baroque Orchestra in the Milton Court Concert Hall.
