Since 2018, I have been teaching Portuguese via Apprentus to several students. It's been very enjoyable to me as well as to my students and I am particularly proud of their development and achievements within a short period! I hope you can be my next student, who is going to make me very proud of!

I am a Brazilian, from Santos (São Paulo), who is passionate about Portuguese language. Since a child, Portuguese was my favorite subject at school. I always did very well with grammar and corrected people's mistakes in my daily life.
My interest for languages expanded and currently I speak also English, German, Spanish and Dutch. This means that I can teach you Portuguese in any of these languages! :D
As a teacher, I aim to make my classes smooth, interesting and fun! I think it's very important to share with students something from my culture, such as musics, novelas (soap operas), festivities and food. I want to teach students with real life examples and vocabulary, instead of using cases that are only in the books. There is so much of Brazilian culture to be explored and this makes the language learning process much easier!
I am very flexible, so I can adapt my class to the needs of each student. If you want to do business with someone from Brazil, I am the right person to assist you! I am graduated in International Relations with focus in Business, so this gives me in depth knowledge in this field! If you are going for holidays in Brazil and you want to be able to dive more in the culture, I can also prepare classes for you!! In this way you can dance samba, while singing the lyrics!
I am very patient, so I can explain you something you didn't understand as many times as necessary. I have great communication skills, what is definetely helpful. Also, I am very enthusiastic, so I am going to do my best to keep you motivated and focused!!
Since I've learned several languages, I can share my tricks with you of how to become fluent in a new language! Finally, in Portuguese there are several words and expressions that really loose their meanings when translated. So by learning Portuguese, you really expand your horizons!

2018 - Present: I have been for more than 3 years teaching Portuguese via Apprentus. I had/ have several students, all with different profiles (ages, interests and Portuguese level). From people who want to learn the basics in order to travel to Brazil to fluent speakers who want to perfect their skills. So far, I have been giving classes in Portuguese, English and Dutch, as requested by the student. Currently, I am also teaching Dutch to a Portuguese child. There are no boundaries when teaching a language! I particularly think it helps a lot that I often can teach students in their motherlanguage.
2016: I taught voluntarily Portuguese to a Syrian refugee at a Daycare for less privileged children in São Paulo. The girl was 4 years old and lived in Brazil for 6 months, but couldn't speak Portuguese. The teaching process was focused on visuals, as she couldn't write or read. It was an extremely challenging and pleasurable experience. After a few months of classes, she could already interact with other children and express herself much better.
2015: I lived in India for 8 months, where I taught Portuguese to a group of colleagues at the company I worked (Financial Technologies). The company was expanding their business in Brazil, so by learning Portuguese the employees could get more familiar with the Brazilian market. This course was business oriented and also included advices for negotiating with Brazilians.
