I have been teaching Swahili for the past 3 years, both in a face to face environment and online. Don't worry if you are a beginner! I'm happy to teach Swahili to anyone, at whatever level they are currently at!
Having grown up and lived in Kenya, I have a strong native eloquence in speaking and writing Swahili and English. Being bi-lingual has enabled me to deliver the best learning to my students, and my experience in tutoring has enabled me to build up a wealth of resources and games that aid in the learning process.

I am an extremely passionate teacher who loved to tutor students that are keen to learn. From growing up in Kenya, I have built up bi-lingual eloquence in both Swahili and English. Having curated in-depth knowledge in Physics and Engineering, I decided to pursue my studies in Computer Science at University Level. I studied for 3 years at the University of Nottingham in both the Malaysia and UK campus, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to pursue my tutoring in these subject areas.

Offering Computer Science or IT classes for anyone interested!

I have had a passion for Computer Science and IT ever since I first studied it in school. I then decided to further pursue this at a degree level at the University of Nottingham. What particularly intrigued me about the subject area was solving problems and learning to understand interesting topics that form the basis of the technological evolution currently happening globally.

From studying it so rigorously, I have become well accustomed to the requirements needed for students to succeed. Often the mathematic, and logical concepts can seem challenging when initially grasping an understanding in the field. This prompted me to start tutoring students for the past 3 years and develop explanations and teaching styles that are adaptable to each students learning style. I have lots of revision tips, lesson plans and resources that are up to date with the current curriculum! I like to plan lessons by covered each topic in depth, and covering any difficulties that students might focus. I regularly like to hold mini-test style questions to ensure the information is consolidated, and follow with exam paper review sessions to ensure that students are ready for their exams.
Although my focus has been on students that are studying for a particular exam, I have also built up experience in tutoring adult learners that are wanting to develop their general IT skills so do feel free to reach out!

As someone who excelled significantly in Physics, I teach students' problem-solving skills and content knowledge following their required curriculum in Physics and/or general Science. From having tutored for over 3 years in this subject, I have gathered a wealth of resources to help bring long term improvements into a students capability to grasp concepts and solve problems. Having also gone through the process myself, I understand some of the common difficulties in the subject area. As a result, I tend to customise each of my lesson plans around my students, by identifying ways that they learn the best. All I require is a passion to learn!
I specialise in preparing students up until their GCSE exams or international equivalents.

I have been giving Swahili lessons since 2004. Both beginners and average speakers.
Although private lessons are always adapted to your own learning needs, I try to combine both grammar and conversation skills in the lessons. In addition, culture also comes up for discussion, because in my opinion it is inextricably linked to language.

Do you want to improve your Swahili speaking and comprehension skills? I am a native Swahili speaker. I am also experienced in tutoring for school and college students. I can customize the lessons based on the students' requirements.

I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice.

Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my students.

I speak Spanish at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

Grammar is essential for everyone and there is a need to sharpen it from a young age. Hence for the beginner level students get to learn vowels, pronunciations, greetings, consonants how to read and write in Swahili and English.

East Africa has great and amazing visitation sites and hence visitors are attracted. Swahili is commonly used in the region and for that reason I teach students the basics of Swahili to get to understand and feel confident and comfortable when speaking it.

The students get to learn to be confident in their grammar for both school work and for their interactions. I provide handouts in order for the students to understand and practice their skills fully.
