Creativity is an integral part of creating successful art pieces. Another crucial factor in the artistic process is having productivity skills that enable you to actually complete your pieces on time. I've designed this course to help artists and creatives steer clear of the black hole that a lack of motivation and doomscrolling can lead us down, offering some hope and optimism.

You'll learn how to integrate your creative projects into your schedule in a way that's not only fun but also highly productive, ensuring you don't deplete your energy levels by 5 pm. Get ready to be engaged and excited about your creative journey!

With each class, you get:
A copy of the presentation I presented to you, in case you wanted to look at it again on your own.
A Google Doc with even more information about the topic we discussed that day, in case you are curious about more details regarding the topic we discussed.
A video summary of the lesson, in case you need a refresher.

Hope to see a request from you soon :)

Hi, I’m Caroline, a sophomore at SUNY Old Westbury, deeply passionate about creativity. I'm a double-major in English and Visual Arts, with minors in Visual Arts and Media & Design, and I'm currently working on a microcredential in the Foundations of Creative Writing. As an illustrator, writer, editor, photographer, and videographer, I thrive on adding creativity in unexpected places.

Significant milestones have marked my journey in the creative arts. I have honed my skills in photography and photo editing, working with a range of tools, from phones to DSLR cameras, and platforms such as Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. The recognition from the Huntington Camera Club for my past work is a testament to my dedication. I also bring extensive experience in writing and illustration, with a current project of writing my first book.

My mission as a teacher on this platform is not just to impart knowledge, but to foster a community of creativity. I aim to share my creative knowledge with others and to inspire more human creativity in a world where automation is on the rise. Let's come together and share our creativity. :)

Photography is essential in our day-to-day lives, especially given that we have a camera in our pockets at all times. From capturing significant events, photos of yourself, or even taking pictures of delicious coffees you order. It is essential nowadays that you can take clean, crisp images on your very own smartphone. I've created this course to help you create professional-looking photos, all taken and edited on your phones.

You'll learn how to take pictures at certain angles, the different modes you can use on your phone to take photos, the various kinds of photography you can achieve, and how to edit high-quality images, all with the default apps.

With each class, you get:
A copy of the presentation I presented to you, in case you wanted to look at it again on your own.

I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)
