BA in Jazz Drums (South Korea).
Bachelor & Master in Jazz Drums – Conservatorium Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Master's research on odd meters with thesis & performance.

Guitarist graduated (12 guitar, 8 years of musical composition) offers an individualized pedagogy adapting to different profiles of students.
Course of musical theory: solfeggio, the rules of classical harmony and jazz, development of the ear and introduction to composition (personal creativity).
Practical guitar lessons: classical, romantic, jazz, popular, contemporary repertoire ... (sheet music or tablatures according to students' preferences)

Working on pieces and improvisations and working with clicks.

We apply all of this quite quickly to pieces of music: but we also create our own breaks and grooves!

We'll work together on your rhythmic placement, your subdivisions (eighth notes, sixteenth notes, triplets, shuffles... anything goes!) and your interpretation with a click track, because without a solid tempo, there's no magic. 💪

Method and Motivation: Whether you're a beginner or looking to take your drumming to the next level, I adapt to your skill level and goals. Je base mes cours de batterie sur les méthodes Dante Agostini, Tavernier et sur mon expérience personnel. Je peux aussi m'adapter au style musical souhaité. J'accorde de l'importance à la technique, c'est pour cela que j'opte pour des exercices sur caisse claire (Agostini).

pour les cours de solfège: partie théorique personnalisé et plusieurs exercices de remise à niveau (rythmique et mélodique).

MAO: travail sur Potools (mix,editing)

I propose an apprenticeship based on musicality and efficiency. Technical, certainly, but always in the service of music, songs that we want to play. Because is not this the primary goal of the apprentice drummer / learn to play his favorite songs? Then: join a group, and be able to place themselves effectively on compositions.

Pop, rock, funk, rockabilly, soul, RNB, blues, country, swing, disco, hard rock, electro, and more!

These courses are intended for children as well as adults.

I put at your disposal syllabuses with course notes and didactic videos.

Feel free to come with your own requests! Except for the extreme metal: I have nothing against, simply I am not expert in blast beat and co, I can nevertheless recommend experts in the field.

TIMES :

- Wednesday in Jupille;
- Friday at Cointe;
- Saturday and Sunday in Baelen.

- Organization of internships during school holidays;
- Ensemble course and learning modules "How to play with a bass player";

My course is aimed at amateur and professional pianists wishing to deepen their technique in terms of improvisation, understanding of harmony and accompaniment; I also offer "coaching" sessions in the context of assistance with creation (composition, interpretation etc.), I insist on the fact that it is not essential to have an in-depth knowledge of music theory!
As long as the motivation and desire are there, the rest will follow!

Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching.

I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully.

I am Julia, a professional saxophonist originally from Montreal, Canada. I live in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experiences with ages 9 to 90. The main idea of my teaching philosophy is to get the sound in your head out into the air. "Guided Fearless Music-Making" is my motto!
