About Me
I'm a South African student currently pursuing my masters at Kunstuniversität Graz. My academic journey started at the University of Stellenbosch, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Music. During my time there, I was able to pursue another passion of mine - mathematics - by taking extra classes and serving as a university tutor for weekly tutorials. With over four years of experience as a tutor, I have developed a strong ability to explain complex concepts in a way that is both understandable and engaging.I was also engaged as a tutor for general academic skills, including academic English, for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Upon moving to Austria in 2020, I noticed the need for English teachers, and completed a TEFL course and began working at a language school in Graz in January 2021. In my experience, the key to successful teaching is finding the balance between a strong foundation of knowledge and the ability to express that knowledge in an engaging and exciting way. Whether I'm teaching a music student, a new piece, guiding a struggling maths student through a difficult problem, or breaking down complex English grammatical structures, my goal is to inspire a love for learning and to help my students achieve their full potential.

Cameron is a great tutor. He can find the right words and descriptions to make the dry math material more interesting. The motivation of my sister, who needed his tutoring, has increased and as a result her independent work on the material has also improved. We would happily recommend Cameron again and again.

1.3 Differentiation (or derivative), slope, secant, tangent
1.4 Rules and theorems for differentiation, power rule, product rule, chain rule
1.5 Derivatives of exp, log, and trigonometric functions
1.6 Implicit differentiation and derivative of inverse functions
1.7 Rolle's theorem, mean value theorem, critical point, maximum/minimum of a function
1.8 First and second derivative tests, inflection points
1.9 Anti-derivative, indefinite integral, integration by substitution, integration by parts
1.10 Definite integral and its application (area between curves, application in physics)\
1.11 Optimization and linear differential equations
2. Linear Algebra:
2.1 Vectors and scalars in Euclidean space, vector arithmetic, scalar product, cross product
2.2 Equations for lines and planes, vector spaces, linear independence, span, basis, dimension
2.3 Linear transformations, coordinates, and representation of linear transformations by matrices
2.4 Matrix operations: matrix multiplication, transpose, determinant, inverse, and Hermitian conjugate
2.5 Systems of linear equations, Gaussian elimination
2.6 Eigenvalues and eigenvectors
2.7 Range, kernel, and rank-nullity theorem
and many more...

A little math and test prepI'm a mathematics teacher currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Didactics. I enjoy doing mathematics and I love thinking and researching new methods so you can do mathematics too. Did you know that every piece of mathematical knowledge arose from a problem in society at the time? If they could understand it, you can too!

University Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus, Analysis, Number Theory, Linear Algebra,...)You are a university student and have trouble with your math courses? Don't fret, I'm here to help! It doesn't matter whether you are a math student or from a different major, whether you are from an applied background or struggle with pure maths - the lessons will only cover what you need. Mathematics has a lot to do with practice and getting familiar with the way of thinking logically. With my help and guidance, I am sure you will become confident in solving problems and understanding mathematical concepts.
The lessons will be tailored to your needs and their structure depends highly on you: usually it is a mixture of repeating the content, solving exercises together, summarising important concepts and talking about exercises you tried yourself at home. The topics, content, pace and methods of learning will be adjusted to your needs, ensuring that you get the most out of my lessons. Besides the lessons, you will get "homework" to work on to strengthen your skills and independent working.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
-Linear Algebra
-Calculus
-Trigonometry
-Geometry
-Set Theory and Metrics
-Analysis
-Algebra
-Numerical Analysis
-Number Theory
-Probability
-Logic and Proofs
-Galois Theory
If you have another topic in mind that you really need help with, just send me a message!
Whether you need someone that explains the concepts to you or just someone to practice exercises with - I am sure I can help you. You have an exam soon and want to review the main topics? No problem! You have a very specific problem, question or topic that you need help with? I'm here to answer any questions!
The most important part of my lessons is, however, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment - I have no issue with explaining the same concept over and over again until I am convinced that you have understood it. It is important to me that you feel comfortable in asking any questions - I want to show you, that Math is more than a subject and that it can be fun!

Mathematics (Applied Math, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Geometry, IBM Exams, Entrance Exams): Primary/High School/Bachelor/Master StudentsMathematics is all about learning basic elements with which you can create explosions, interactions and much more desired computations. It is the heart of every science known and without it, even the text that I am writing right now would not work (recall binary numbers).
I have always been passionate about Math and during primary and high school I attended many Regional Math Olympiads where I usually won the top 5 places. During this period, I got the chance to be trained by university professors and gained knowledge of many complex math concepts at a really young age. This made it possible for me to afterward be able to explain these concepts in a brief and clear manner to my fellow students. I aspire to visualize everything with everyday life and when students see this connection, the puzzle is finally solved. We can cover all of the branches of mathematics together at the desired level and degree level. Starting from Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry and much more, we will build that mathematic intuition in no time!
