Hallo! My name's Emi - I'm a British musician living in the Netherlands. I have been incredibly lucky to have had some incredible musical experiences... Some highlights including performing for the BBC/Ronnie Scott's TV Nights/O2 VIP Lounge/support for acts such as JP Cooper, and founding the Limelight Sessions (international monthly music nights, with acts such as Nick Wilson/Joe Buck/Hannah Grace, and many more).... But my biggest passion is teaching. I have 7 years of teaching experience (singing/piano/theory/English language), and a 100% pass rate in students' exams - from classical to pop music. The content of the lessons ----- All styles are covered at Musiclab. Think of blues, jazz, classical, pop, rock, et cetera. These diverse genres are played on classical, western (acoustic) and electric guitar. Bass guitar can also be practiced. Learning to read notes and tabs are an integral part of the lesson. However, improvisation can also be part of this. In the technical field, chord playing, scales, arpeggios and various playing techniques such as hammer-ons, pull-offs and tapping are discussed. Theory can also be taught in preparation for vocational music education. Lessons at Musiclab are intended for the serious guitarist or bassist who has time to practice at home.
