This class is designed to support A-Level Maths and Further Maths students by breaking down complex topics into simple concepts. Whether you're aiming for top grades or just need a confidence boost, I tailor lessons to suit your learning style. Focusing on problem-solving, exam techniques, and building a solid understanding of core principles.

As an LSE graduate in Actuarial Science with over three years of tutoring experience, I understand the challenges students face and explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. From differentiation to matrices, mechanics to statistics, I’ll help you tackle tricky questions and develop the logical thinking needed to excel in maths.

In doing so, I take students beyond ordinary textbooks and grammar books, since they are no more than guides to learning, not absolute authorities, and because to me language is a living, constantly evolving matter, which you must submerge yourself into in order to understand.

In addition to my unorthodox approach, what sets me apart is a collection of unique, language-related experiences, which translate into a good ability to understand nuances of the English language. A native Russian speaker, I have lived in the UK for over 5 years, went to a Scottish boarding school and have even completed a university degree in English. I teach primary school children from Year 2 upwards in Maths, English and in preparation for SATs in Year 6.
My resources are all current and up to date and relevant in today’s National Curriculum specification.
I have full access to the topics to be covered in each year group in Maths and am happy to mirror and match that which is being completed termly at school as well as focusing on more challenging topics. Each lesson will begin with Arithmetic questions for fluency.
Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.
