I take a personal interest in ALL my students and am committed to helping each of them to fulfil their academic potential. I believe that personal development and academic achievement go hand in hand. I have very high expectations of my students and I am very effective at setting goals and coaching students to attain them. The services I offer have been proven to raise levels of school performance, help increase confidence, enjoyment and motivation and develop study skills and discipline that can be applied to other subjects.

Each session will be tailored to your needs: this could include basic literacy skills, grammar, improving coursework essays, preparing for exams or getting to grips with media texts, annalysing films, Shakespeare, poetry, plays and novels, along with exploring the cultural context and social or political issues raised by the texts.

Education

I have an MA(Hons) in Creative Writing from UCC which I received in 2017, a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from NCAD and a (CELTA) teaching qualification from Cambridge University to teach English as a foreign language.

Expérience / Qualifications

I am a mature, qualified English teacher with 20 years experience in private tuition and teaching in schools. I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring young people, especially with GCSE and A-Level English in the UK and Junior/Leaving cert in Ireland. I am also experienced teaching English as a foreign language and in supporting students whose parents are from immigrant backgrounds and because of language difficulties are unable to support their children's studies as much as they would wish. I have experience mentoring and tutoring students who have fallen behind, been excluded or have mild learning disabilities.

Formerly a French student I am now living in Dublin.

I obtained in France the Brevet d'aptitude to the functions of animator in collective receptions of minors. This allowed me to develop many experiences in animation and welcoming young people.

I propose my services to teach French and French culture. I will teach basic lessons to start or improve your French language.

My training also allows me to apprehend the thing with a playful approach so necessary for the youngest.

Hi there, my name is Adrian. I was born in Brussels, raised in Madrid to a Spanish mother and an Irish father, where I coursed my education in the French education system (Lycée Français de Madrid). Because of this, I am a native speaker of these three beautiful languages and have given classes to kids and adults for several years before moving to Dublin in 2019.
I have helped students prepare for official exams and taught other the basics of the languages.

Taking time to practise speaking the language you are learning is crucial in the development of your active vocabulary. This will allow you to communicate with greater fluency and confidence.
You can suggests topics or discuss a variety of topics like hobbies and passions, work and travel or anything that you would like to work on. Throughout the class I will keep track of any and all vocabulary that you were unfamiliar with and go over them with you as well as send the list to you at the end of the class, to keep track of words and expressions as you encounter them.
I have several games that I believe to be well suited for the learning of vocabulary. These will add an element of fun to the process of learning.

I am a native spanish speaker, born in Balearic Islands. I would be delighted to teach you how to speak/write in spanish. My classes are for all levels, I have been teaching it for two years. I am currently studying Theoretical Physics in Trinity College, that is why I am in Dublin.
