I am an instructor in more than one domaine.
Although, I specialize in piano style musical composition, arranging, lyrics writing, and chord changes.

My students may choose what they want to learn since I am music/vocal teacher and also a modern dance instructor as well. In my dance classes, students can learn a style called "Funkstyles." They can learn Popping and Boogaloo, and some Locking also. My dance teachers are "Popin' Pete," and "Suga Pop," dancers of reknown, who also taught Michael Jackson how to do this style of dance.
They will learn the basics, and then intermediate courses, and then expert level courses.
Zusätzliche Informationen
I also teach piano basics, some solfege, and music composition; lyrics, etc!

First of all, the discovery of the instrument and its multiple possibilities of sound and musical expression, through the repertoire and improvisation. Next comes the development of the pupil's musicality and the acquisition of the instrumental bases, which will, in a later phase, be deepened to finally develop the pupil's autonomy and personality.

Objectives and skills

Adaptation of the body to the instrument - development of a natural position on the piano
Coordination of gestures, position and independence of the hands.
Listening development - learning to listen to your own play and that of others
Development of the sense of rhythm - simple rhythm on a pulsation at the beginning, towards a refinement of precision
Phrase and musical breathing
Play in public
Musical expression, improvisation
Sight reading (music theory)

Regarding this last point, it is important to specify that with Apolline, music theory is integrated into the instrument lesson, sparingly and in a manner consistent with the subject studied by the child. Thus, theory sticks to practice and becomes digestible and interesting.

Learning music with Apolline

How to leave the usually rigid framework of the first years of musical learning that is found in most schools in Switzerland?

Based in Lausanne, Apolline has a different philosophy. Rather than offering children and adolescents to learn in individual lessons, lessons in small groups - from 2 to 3 students, depending on the instrument - are highlighted. Working in a group offers many advantages to beginners or inexperienced students.

Apolline offers her students the possibility of joining a group workshop, in addition to the basic instrument course, so that they can play with other musicians of their age. Accompanied by a teacher, they will learn to play in groups, through covers or their own compositions.
