About Me

I am very passionate about mathematics. I enjoy teaching math in a fun and practical way. This way, students will understand the concepts deeply and consciously, which will help them apply that understanding to problem-solving.

I believe the first step to success in mathematics is, first and foremost, to build a student's confidence. I also teach math in a way that shows students its connection to and application in other subjects and in everyday life. This is the only way mathematics can move from abstract to something students can touch and understand.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching math in UK and international schools, during which I have taught exam-year groups, including IGCSEs, AS levels, and A-Levels.

Education

My schooling was in the United Kingdom. I completed A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Applied Maths.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cardiff University, UK, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Exeter University, UK.

Experience / Qualifications

I have taught since 2005 in schools in the UK and internationally. From 2014 to 2021, I also ran my own business as a private math tutor in my classroom as a freelancer. I have experience teaching math to students aged 11 to 18, as well as engineering students. My experience is primarily with the British curriculum.
