I offer personalized courses according to the student needs (travelling, living abroad, etc.) I prepare for exams such as the DELPH. A typical lesson for an intermediate level consists mainly of speaking, and grammar is learned through repetition and natural acquisition. A summary of the lesson is given at the end of the course. I also recommend tools like movies or other podcasts. Online courses are usually done via google meet. I also have lessons on the phone or via WhatsApp. I accept all levels.

About Me

Since 2013, I have been teaching languages and art as a freelancer as well as in private schools. I Speak French, English, and also some Swedish. I am also a visual artist, mural painter and author of two published novels et Plan Vert editions. Since 2020, my teaching activity is mainly done remotely.

Originally from Geneva, teaching French and English for more than 10 years, teaching Swedish was added to my classes a few years ago. My passion for this language and its culture and my many years spent in this country studying it intensively made me decide to make it my main objective, teaching Swedish to French speakers wanting a first approach to the language.

The method is 100% personalized and depends on each person's objectives. Online or face-to-face lessons focus on speaking above all, interspersed with grammar points so that the student understands the structure of the language. Additional resources are also given to the student such as podcasts, exercises to do at home if desired, etc. The key to success is repetition.

Practice leads to perfection

Unless you learned to speak French when you were a child, it is difficult when you don't speak it fluently to pass for a French speaker. However, this does not prevent you from learning to speak it correctly, because it is well known that a language spoken with a foreign accent is an asset of seduction! Although it may seem complicated, learning a new language is always fun and beneficial, so it is important to practice as much as possible and above all not to give up. Take every opportunity you are given to speak the language and listen to French as soon as possible. And remember: practice leads to perfection!

I am a native French teacher and a graduate in French Philology since 2012. I have 10 years of experience in Belgium and abroad. I offer online classes using a method that I have developed over the years, specifically for online classes.

*My method:*
-During class we focus on speaking. Outside of class, I will send you exercises that I will correct every week (grammar, conjugation, writing...).
-I use a particular technique based on questions/answers to apply the grammar when speaking.
-I use the verbotonal method to correct pronunciation.
-You will also receive access to an application for your Smartphone (to learn the vocabulary).

I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

2022-Now:

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
