لقد كنت دائمًا شغوفًا بتدريس الرياضيات. لقد استمتعت حقًا بكوني مدرسًا على مدار السنوات العشر الماضية وكان ذلك مُرضيًا حقًا. أنا متفاني وموهوب وصبور وأستمتع بالتحديات. خلال السنوات العشر الماضية، عملت في 4 مدارس دولية مرموقة في الخرطوم وقمت بتدريس أكثر من 500 طالب (بعضهم في الكلية الآن). انتقلت إلى الدوحة منذ 3 أشهر بعد اندلاع الحرب في السودان. ومنذ ذلك الحين وأنا أتقدم للوظائف على المستوى الدولي . إنني أتطلع حقًا إلى ممارسة مهنة في الدوحة وأن أصبح جزءًا من مجتمعها العالمي المثير للاهتمام، وأعتقد أنني سأتعلم الكثير من هذه التجربة في نفس الوقت بينما أساعد المتعلمين الصغار في التغلب على أي صعوبات قد يواجهونها في الرياضيات.

Class teacher for more than 9 years, I give support sessions in French, English, science, and Maths. My main responsibility is to help children become more independent learners. I meet with students to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes and help students solve specific problems. For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above. You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. I started offering private French and English lessons to supplement my income, and I quickly discovered my passion for it. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals. In my teaching methodology, interactivity takes center stage. I employ a variety of engaging learning tools, including photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, and more. My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some seek to refine their pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, while others require assistance with presentations or speeches for school or work. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience. Furthermore, I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have operated a private "Before & Afterschool" facility along with Summer Camps catering to children aged 4 to 12 for many years. Contrairement à une idée très répandue, apprendre le latin ce n’est pas comme apprendre l’annuaire par cœur. Je vous offre des cours de latin qui ne sont pas comme les autres. Il y a deux types de cours. Voici une analogie pour illustrer leurs approches respectives : Si vous prenez le train tous les jours pour faire des aller-retours et que vous n'avez pas le temps d'attendre longtemps au quai, imaginez que vous avez seulement deux options : 1) Apprendre les horaires par cœur. 2) Remarquer que le train arrive toutes les dix minutes et qu'un train arrive par exemple à 7:00h. Dans la pédagogie scolaire, dans les cahiers d'études et dans les cours ordinaires, c'est la première approche qui est adoptée — dans les cours que je vous offre, c'est la deuxième car elle est plus économique et plus rapide. Mon offre s’adresse aussi bien aux élèves qu’aux adultes qui veulent s’initier à la langue latine ou approfondir leurs connaissances sans détour chronophage par les insanités des méthodes scolaires qui ne produisent pas de résultats. Apprendre est facile mais désapprendre ce qui est devenu une mauvaise habitude est extrêmement difficile. D’autant plus il est important d’apprendre les bons réflexes aussi tôt que possible. Avec mon enseignement sur mesure vous allez accélérer votre apprentissage dans un état d'esprit positif. Je propose des cours de latin individuels ou de groupe (2 à 5 personnes). Les méthodes sont basées sur les sciences cognitives et notamment la linguistique historique. Ce qui ne fera pas l'objet du cours : apprendre des listes de verbes ; apprendre des listes de noms avec leur genre ; apprendre les mots avec leurs traductions ; jeu de cartes mémoire ; faire des exercices scolaires ; suivre le programme d’un cahier ; imposer la grammaire française à la langue latine. Ce qui m’importe en particulier : motiver mon élève et lui donner un rythme d’apprentissage ; encourager sa créativité ; le lier d’amitié avec la langue ; les lettres et leurs sons renforcer sa mémoire en travaillant la boucle phonologique ; enseigner les plans de construction au lieu de faire apprendre des phrases par coeur ; expliquer le fonctionnement de la langue pour rendre mon élève autonome aussi vite que possible ; briser des idées reçues telles que le genre gammatical aurait un lien avec le genre biologique, l'accusatif serait un complément direct et le datif un complément indirect, les verbes seraient irréguliers, la déclinaison serait aléatoire et donc à apprendre avec chaque verbe... ; placer la pratique au centre et articuler la grammaire autour de la pratique.
