In 1945, the creation of the UN aims to prevent a new world war. But we are also witnessing a very strong period of tension between the United States and the USSR. The USSR and the United States were allies against Nazism but at the end of the Second World War, these two hyperpowers (they are called: the two blocks) will oppose each other without ever directly confronting each other because of the fear of nuclear. This period is called the Cold War, it will last from 1947 to 1991. Problem: How did the Cold War manifest itself? How does the opposition between the 2 blocks take place? What are the reasons for the end of the Cold War and their consequences. In February 1945 (when the war was not yet over) the YALTA conference took place. Roosevelt (United States) Churchill (United Kingdom) and Stalin (USSR) decide on a new organization of the world: occupation of German territory by the winning powers - denazification of Germany - organization of free elections in liberated countries - creation of ONU. In 1945 ; at the Potsdam conference the victors decide on the new borders of Europe. Gradually tensions arise between the winners. The Russians are accused of wanting to spread communism in the countries of Eastern Europe which they liberated from Nazism. For their part, the Russians find it difficult to accept the world domination of the United States (atomic bomb) From 1947, the 2 former allies are suspicious of each other: it is the end of the great alliance against Nazism and the beginning of the Cold War. The cold war will gradually spread between the 2 "BIG" => the world is divided into two parties.

I am a passionate History, Sociology and Philosophy teacher (both ancient and modern). Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English I have taught History and Sociology in Madrid, Barcelona, North Italy and London. I can also teach Politics. Outside of the classroom, I have written and directed school plays, organized the school journals and the olympic games of philosophy. My students are of differing ages and stages of proficiency, so I have plenty of experience teaching at all levels. I consider myself a friendly and patient teacher, concerned above all else with the all round development of my students' capacity for comprehensive thought. I have a strong belief in the unification of knowledge and am always striving to incorporate seemingly disparate branches of learning into a broader horizon in order to provide my students with a sufficiently complete picture. Availability The length and frequency of sessions can be determined by the student's requirements and availability. The first lesson For any given first session I like to get to know the student, find out where they're at in their course of study, and see what their current working methods are like. Usually, talking about the current piece of homework, the next upcoming exam, or due assignment is a great way to gauge their requirements, assess where my help is most needed, and thus collaboratively devise a joint programme of work. My teaching method 
I bring a broad-based interdisciplinary knowledge to a range of subjects. This allows the opportunity to consider new ideas and to place different perspectives in conversation with each other, which is an instrumental skill for improving academic writing. A lesson with me will be interactive and lucid. I am adaptable as all students are different, so I will constantly monitor and remain attentive to our learning objectives.
 
My teaching methods vary, but as a rule I start with an in depth account of the subject, taking care to ground it contextually, and then proceed to a discussion of the main points. Whether the lessons take more of a dialogical form or the more typical lecture type format depends on the needs and preferences of the student. The lessons will be focused on studying techniques, written exercises with supervision and recalling techniques. We will work not just to close any gaps but also help the student in learning how to optimize private study. For students who need to get up to speed with content, I can offer sessions where I present you with ideas and new ways of understanding the topic. I approach each topic according to the immediate and long-range needs of the student, whether they require help in comprehending their topic, in preparing for exams, or in planning, executing, and proofing written work. Depending on the desire and temperament of the student, I can gear my lessons either towards cramming and exam survival or towards the nurturing of lifelong learning. My general policy is also to be flexible with what the student needs of me. For example, my payment is for the hour, however I am happy to look over work and send comments. My fee is not just one hour as I work with the student in all aspects of their learning via e-mails outside the lessons. Trusted teacher: General monitoring of homework by a medical student. Hello my name is Thomas. I am currently in my 3rd year of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Tours and have a Scientific Baccalaureate with honors, to which is associated a European English mention (philosophy option in English). I live in Tours-centre and do not have a car but can get around by bike / public transport. You can call on me to carry out a "global" follow-up of homework (accompanying students daily to do their homework, while taking the time to take up notions that may pose difficulties or deepen certain knowledge). I can also intervene for reinforcement in certain specific subjects (scientific or non-scientific), depending on the level requested. On the occasion of the courses that I can give, I also transmit many methodological advice / aids that I myself have been able to acquire during my career. I can thus intervene with students in order to make points on “methodology and organization of work”. I address students whose school level goes from primary to high school (see post-baccalaureate for the subjects present in the 1st year of medicine), depending on the different subjects. The hourly rate varies according to the school level of the student to be accompanied. I have a habit, during my lessons, of systematically going over the theoretical bases present in the students' lessons, in order to be able to carry out as many exercises as possible afterwards in the best conditions. I strive to adapt my approach according to the profile of the student presenting to me. My school career pushed me to be very organized and concise, which can be an asset in teaching. I have been able to give lessons to primary, middle and high school students on many occasions. I am also a tutor within several student associations of the faculty of medicine, and therefore provide courses to first-year medical students to help them in their preparation for their competition: I can thus attest to a great experience in the education.
