I am an experienced primary school teacher of 12 years and a mother. I have taught in a wide range of different schools including international schools in Dubai, Germany, and Spain, and many inner-city schools in and around Liverpool. I particularly enjoy teaching maths and utilize a plethora of different creative techniques in order to instill both a love of learning and a clear, confident understanding of the subject. I quickly develop strong relationships with children as I am excellent at gauging them and their specific needs. I love talking to children in order to fully understand them and decide on the most appropriate methods to use with them. I like to provide children with a number of mathematical methods for working out a specific problem so that they are not reliant on one method alone and I find that this also helps to build their confidence. Obviously, I also greatly enjoy teaching reading and writing as English is my native language. I am highly effective at ensuring progress and advancing students' confidence and ability. I have worked in reception, year 1, year 3, year 4, and year 6 so almost the full spectrum! I have tutored children in all year groups and have 3 years experience of in tutoring. I also have experience teaching EAL children in the UAE, the U.K., and Germany and a variety of SEN children.
