I offer violin and viola lessons for students of all levels and ages.
Beginners are welcome!
I have developed my own teaching approach, based on years of practice with my Master teachers and my own research.
I focus on supporting and developing student’s individuality. I am open to meet specific expectations and needs.
I play the violin with my students to demonstrate and to inspire them. I also willingly perform together with pupils as well as accompany them during family performances. This makes playing even more enjoyable!

I offer group and chamber music lessons. That's the best way to learn how to communicate with others through the sounds of instruments. Students learn how to use music as a way to connect, follow the leader or to train mindful awareness. Playing together supports motivation to practice and improve skills.

I teach to improvise. I treat the instrument as a voice to be used freely.
I use improvisation as a language, wordless channel to create dialogue or express emotions. It builds student’s ability to play with trust.
It allows making music to become more personal.

I am Letizia, 26 years old and I play the clarinet!
I've been teaching children, teenagers, and adults for nine years. I'll be completing my Master's degree in Music Education (at the Zurich University of the Arts) in June 2022.
I enjoy making music with children and adults who know, know about, or are learning to play the clarinet!
I believe that music is very important for political development, to learn to listen to other people and to listen to them.

Hello and welcome!

A former student of the Popular Conservatory of Music in Geneva, I am currently a master's student at the Geneva University of Music, Neuchâtel site.

I have 14 years of violin practice behind me and very much wish to transmit and share my passion for music.

In order to make you progress at best, I will rely on solid pedagogical and technical bases but will also be able to adapt to you and your desires / needs. We will be able to discuss the repertoire that you want to tackle: from baroque to contemporary music to film music - as long as it makes you vibrate ...! I will also be able to find people to make chamber music so that you can discover the pleasure of playing together.

If you want to learn basic solfeggio, it is totally possible to integrate it in the course, to see with the schedules.

These courses are primarily for beginner / intermediate violinists of all ages as it is never too late to start.

Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses.

Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels).

My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing.

Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique.

The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible.

I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar.

Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality.

Hello, my name is Izabel and I play the viola professionally and work in Zurich Opernhaus as well as other orchestras.
I also have more than 10 years of experience teaching the violin, the viola and music theory.
I can speak fluent English, Bulgarian and French. I can also understand German, but cannot fluently communicate.
I would be happy to work with you or your child at your home, or in my studio, as well as give an online course. My weeks are often quite flexible and I am happy to accommodate to your schedule whenever it is possible.

As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe.

Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good.
