Swahili Lessons for Beginners to Advanced Learners

My methodology is to base myself on the courses in a structural and clear way, accessible to my learners to give them quality teaching and a total understanding of the courses in a cordial and satisfying atmosphere. My method is very simple, I start by teaching you the most common and most used words and expressions. Then slowly the formation of sentences, conjugation, grammar but also how to pronounce each word well and know their positions in the sentence. Thanks to my very simple and effective teaching methodology, the student can form sentences in Wolof very easily from our first lesson. Wolof is the most spoken language in Senegal, Gambia where it has been enriched with contributions from other dialects, Arabic and French, which remains the official language. It is experiencing cultural expansion in the country and is also present in Gambia and Mauritania. So to facilitate your integration into Senegalese society; it is essential to use this language because it is the vernacular language although there are several beautiful local Senegalese languages but Wolof remains the most used language. This is why I offer myself to teach the beauty of this language which is my specialty and my mother tongue, I also teach Senegalese and Gambian culture and civilization. Learning Wolof offers anyone who wishes to know Senegal, in a professional, cultural or tourist context, the opportunity to establish privileged contact with its population. I would also like to inform my learners that apart from online courses, I organize language visits and tours in Senegal; for those who wish to travel to practice and discover Senegal with special packages. The design of my lessons is varied, follows current scientific findings on language acquisition and implements the demands of modern foreign language didactics in teaching practice. I pay particular attention to the following aspects: Development of communicative and pragmatic language skills through a systematic, progressive development of linguistic skills and in particular through the active use of language. Courses for adults, children and travelers who either want to travel to Tanzania, simply learn the language or want to get involved with the language. Various topics are discussed and everyday language is practiced. Experience shows that you can learn to understand a new language better and more easily through dialogues and discussion opportunities. Goals: Learn new expressions and the art of language, discuss various topics and learn vocabulary, use grammar, independently form simple sentences, conduct simple dialogues, deal with current topics and discuss them. Furthermore, the ability to conduct dialogues and understand what is being said should be achieved.

Jambo, karibu sana! Do you want to improve your Swahili speaking and comprehension skills? I am a native Swahili speaker. I am also experienced in tutoring for school and college students. I can customize the lessons based on the students' requirements. I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice. Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my students. I speak Spanish at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

Wolof is the most spoken language in Senegal and Gambia. I've designed the course for people who would like to learn to speak wolof either for family reasons or traveling. In this course you will learn to speak Wolof in basic everyday settings, grammar and depending on your goals we can dig deeper in the language. I have background in linguistics and have experience in teaching languages. I have my Master's degree in African studies and have studied Wolof language for one year intensively as a part of my Bachelor's degree. I have also family background in Gambia, and currently living in Gambia. I am not a native speaker but learned Wolof as my second language since child. I can offer help in understanding the language and reach a certain level. I will be teaching the Wolof spoken in Gambia.
