'Philosophy and Ethics' - AS Level Sixth Form Tutor

I specialise in teaching the A-level course 'Philosophy and Ethics' which is about critical thinking and developing dynamics of society.

This is a particularly good choice for students that want to pursue a career in medical science or law.

This course has three sections to it - Ethics, Philosophy and Christian Thinking.

My goal is to keep students engaged with the philosophers of Ancient Greece and challenged, but not overwhelmed with baffling psychological theories of conscience; among many others.

Alongside these educational theories and developments of thinking I will teach students the correct structure of essay writing for their arguments - ready for the real exam.

I assign homework after each lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

About Me

I am currently a second-year Biomedical Student at the University of Hertfordshire.

I have 9 GCSE's (Triple Science, RE, Geography, History, Maths, English Language and Literature) at Grades A-B.

I then attended Sixth Form in which I achieved A*-B's in Health and Social Care, Applied Science, Philosophy and Ethics and an EPQ (the A-level version of a university dissertation 'final project') on 'Alternative Treatments of Cancer'.

I have had previous experience with teaching Triple Science, on a different online education platform, and my student transitioned into sixth form with 6-7's (A-B's in the old curriculum) to pursue her future in medical sciences.

I have had other experiences with teaching secondary age students, during my time at sixth form; as I would support my teachers as an assistant during free periods.

Due to my experiences and academic background, I tailor my teaching styles for each student differently so that all ages and abilities can learn successfully at their own pace.

I specialise in teaching the A-level course 'Philosophy and Ethics' which is about critical thinking and developing dynamics of society. This is a particularly good choice for students that want to pursue a career in medical science or law. This course, likewise to the AS Level course, three sections to it - Ethics, Philosophy and Christian Thinking. This further teaching of the course, as a complete A-Level, is more based upon modern situations and applications of philosophy and ethics that surround us. Alongside these educational theories and developments of thinking I will teach students the correct structure of essay writing for their arguments - ready for the real exam. I assign homework after each lesson and provide periodic progress reports.
I specialise in tutoring Triple Award Science for secondary students (Yr 9 to Yr 11) which prepares them for GCSE exams in the future. I teach the new curriculum (1-9 grades) for Triple Science and use education boards such as AQA, Edexcel and OCR 21st Century - among others. I like to assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports after exam practices in order to support students further. I have previously taught Triple Science before and my student achieved 6-7's (A-B's equivalent) that allowed them to transition to sixth form to pursue their career in medical sciences. I also tailor my teaching style for each student so that any age and ability can successfully learn at their own pace.

Tailor-made courses on Chinese culture, eg. history, philosophy, society, economy, popculture,...
This private class offers an exploration into rich and complex tapestry that is Chinese culture. Based on your interest, you'll learn more about Chinese history, philosophy, traditional and modern Chinese society, literature, religion, etc. With China's importance on the international stage growing incessantly, I believe it's very useful to understand the Chinese way of thinking, to develop awareness of cultural sensitivities and to gain some insight in the history that structures China's perspective on the world. Originally structured as a lecture-based course, the content can also be restructured into a more interactive learning design. Whether you're interested in ancient classical philosophy, dynastic history, modern Chinese society and popculture or the economic development of China, this course has something to offer.

✅DEEPEN YOUR INTIMATE SELF-KNOWLEDGE, YOUR SEXUAL DESIRES & OVERCOME YOUR BLOCKAGES
► Learn to know your intimate and sexual desires, deepen them, assume them and perceive their meaning, while being aware of your own limits and those of your partner, understand your blockages in order to overcome them, take advantage of the approach socio-cognitive of sexual desire, better integrate the functioning of one's partner, integrate tools / techniques / methods / know-how / key phrases to take pleasure while leaving it to spontaneity & naturalness, improve the link between affectivity and sexual intimacy but also communication with your partner, play (...): these are examples of the objectives of these personalized sessions, in order to ultimately improve your intimate and sexual satisfaction, accompanied by a mediator specialized. ➤ Together, step by step, it's about getting to know each other better (through your past experience, what you like or appreciate the least about yourself / about the other), by analyzing situations in a thorough and pragmatic way. Indeed, this step is essential in order not to orient towards / "tackle" a pre-established model, but to adapt to each situation. ➤ In parallel, from the first session, once the key points are better understood / assimilated, and the objectives gradually defined, tackle, based on your daily life / your experience, the art of sexuality and its subtleties, while valuing the complexity of sexuality and not its complications. ► My mission: to help you understand, analyze, discover and discover yourself to better enjoy yourself, while gaining self-confidence & acting in order to no longer be limited by your beliefs. ➤ If the discretion and confidentiality of the coach are essential, it is therefore a question of offering a tailor-made program / training, following an initial 'diagnosis'. ► These sessions can, for example, deal with how to regain confidence and make you reconnect with a complex but not complicated, subtle but not tangled sexuality, in short fulfilled while understanding the key elements of your own psychology and that of your partner (... ). But also how to strengthen your sexual charisma to unlock your potential and take pleasure. ➤ Objective here again: to introduce concrete techniques / methods which make it possible to communicate easily, in a fluid, efficient and always natural way, while mastering situations. ➤ Non-verbal language, sexualization and avoidance of the friend zone (...): the objective being to demystify these themes in theory and in practice. ➤ Coaching is based on precise questioning techniques, helping the person being supported to find a solution to a problem. At the end of each session, the coachee will master new ways of thinking, actions to accomplish and will have better motivation. Depending on the clients' expectations, the coach can suggest other approaches. ➤ So what do the first individual coaching sessions look like? First, a first exploratory contact during which your expectations are examined, the nature of the request and the context are evaluated, a 'diagnosis' is discussed, taking into account your difficulties, your needs, your objective. Then, it is a question of developing a precise procedure and proposing lines of work. A relationship of trust is gradually established through a benevolent alchemy, where listening, empathy and the absence of judgment are central. ➤ Thus, after having carried out together an initial assessment of the situation, a kind of inventory, it is a question of determining the objectives to be reached, the feelings and the questions related to the situation as well as proposing actions to achieve your goal, resolve constraining situations that stand in your way, using tools that will be offered to you according to your situation to get out of your comfort zone and change your perspective. ➤ The guide then asks questions aimed at exploring solutions aimed at achieving the objective, through experiments and exercises. Through various tools (drawing, role playing, metaphor, visualization, etc.), this questioning helps to change perspective, get out of an impasse in order to explore various options that you might not have thought of. this way, based on tools and experience. For example, it could be a new way of thinking about difficulties or another approach to identifying and considering resolving conflicts or a progression in terms of personal development or in terms of a career focusing always on the development of personal resources and self-knowledge. At the start of the next meeting, the coachee begins with a summary of the activations and the evolution of the state from the last meeting. This step makes it possible to have an evaluation of the positive points and those which are less so in order to readjust the set strategy. ➤ Concretely, ONE SESSION = SOLUTIONS / proposals / concrete suggestions to put into practice for the next session in order to overcome blockages or improve self-knowledge. Note that during the videoconference session, all the notes are transcribed in the chat so that you can access them at any time when you wish. THE COACH Trained at the Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League University in the United States, our teacher trainer has specialized and worked for more than 18 years, in Europe and North America, in the field, in renowned international public and private establishments, regularly participating in forums and conferences, and also offering personalized INDIVIDUAL support, with pedagogy and careful methodology as key words, all anchored in a peaceful moment. ➤ PLACE, TIMETABLE, PRICES ✓ Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Fribourg-Zurich-Neuchâtel-Lugano-Montreux-Basel-Neuchâtel-Bern-Lucerne-Brussels-Luxembourg-Paris-Lyon. Political Belief Systems: An Introduction to Ideology
Everyone who engages with politics (which is to say, everyone) has an ideology. But not everyone is conscious of- let alone consistent in their ideology. In fact, most people’s conscious politics are nothing more than an inconsistent aesthetic. But anyone who has a world they long to see owes it to themselves to at least be self aware of their own ideology, and they should probably also familiarize themselves with others as well. I can help on both fronts. This 10-session class serves as an introduction to the concept of political ideology. We will begin with a brief overview to various major academic theories of ideology, before moving on to a taxonomical survey of different ideological genuses and families, both “thick-centered” ideologies, that is, ideologies with a comprehensive core specific enough that they can stand on their own as it were, such as liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and fascism, and “thin centered” ideologies, which have much broader and hence much less specific cores, and hence must attach themselves to other thick centered host ideologies in order to fully manifest themselves, such as populism, nationalism, feminism, and ecologism.

AS & A-level psychology tutoring for year 11 and 12 students
A Level Psychology can be a lot — loads of studies, tricky terms, and essays that need to hit specific points to score. It’s not just about knowing the content, it’s about knowing how to use it. I did my AS & A Levels in 2023, and I know how it feels. Understanding the material is one thing, but turning that into marks is a whole different challenge. In our sessions, we’ll cover the full syllabus: content, learning outcomes, past papers, and what examiners want to see. Since it’s one-on-one, we can focus on whatever you’re finding most difficult, or just sharpen your overall exam technique. I’m a big believer in “practice makes perfect,” so that’ll be a big part of what we do. If you're aiming for a great grade and want a bit of the stress taken off your plate, I’ve got you.
