Hello this is Pritam. I'm a drums and world percussion teacher, educator and composer from the last 20yrs. Here's some information about my journey so far. If you're interested then feel free to connect me.I'm a world percussionist. I play for my Creator. His gift ; My language- MUSIC. To start with, Music is my premier and only way to start a conversation with the world. I am born and bought up in Kolkata dated 20th September,1984. When my cradle of life is Kolkata, rhythm comes to me like a friendly neighbour. My early stages have always being understanding rhythm but my thirst for the awareness and knowledge of this beautiful phenomenon of life led me to the doorsteps of my Guruji Mr. Monojit Dutta-the only Latin Jazz percussionist in India. I witnessed and learned, things changed when I,realized rhythm is not everything- it's just the core-techniques, sensibility, sense, sentiments, tradition and on top of everything having the loyalty to fun while playing,to taste each line and bends and notes. While discovering this, my internal search led me to the land of percussions. I play world percussions and drums has been my early companion. I also share my knowledge through teaching music. Experimentation comes as a ground rule for me as a percussionist. A creation with philosophy and most importantly a feel of texture, breathing essence and to taste the sentiments have being my priorities while creating my music.

Education

Passed 12th standard from W.B.E.S.C. board.
Bachelor degree in commerce from Calcutta University.

Professional musician and music teacher from the last twenty years.
(1) Music teacher (Drums) at Sushila Birla High school from 2008 to 2018.
(2) Drums and percussion teacher at Bickram Ghosh academy of performing arts from 2014 to 2021.
(3) Teaching drums and world percussion as a private teacher from 2004 to present.
(4) Also teached special ability students.
(5) Present time also teaching online and offline classes all over the world.
