SAT/ ACT 2023 Prep Classes for High School Students
The SAT/ ACT can sound and feel daunting. Whether it's the first time a learner is taking it, or not, preparation is at the heart of testing well.
I bring personality and can-do attitude: high-energy, intense, and highly motivated. I work with a spirit of urgency, but I am also ready at any moment to ease up, relax, crack jokes, and take a quick break from the pressure of test prep.
My philosophy towards test prep is easily summarized: “Help students significantly improve their SAT and/or ACT scores, while providing a great experience to students & parents.” I appreciate that teenagers are all unique and interesting personalities! I tailor each lesson to each student, even depending on how the kids are feeling that day. I utilize a mix of highly-tested strategies and total content mastery to open students’ eyes to the secrets of the SAT/ACT.
But, on test day, students have to do the work themselves. Therefore, everything I teach in lessons is based around a solid core of personal practice, homework assignments, and grinding out practice problems.

About Me
I have over 8 years experience in tutoring students from Grades 3 to college level. One of my earlier tutoring encounters was hosting a summer camp for students transitioning from other syllabi into the IB program; the modules included English, Math and Science. Having taken the standardized tests and also acquired competitive skills in test preparation, I find myself in a unique position to guide candidates through the process.
I am also adept in guiding students through college applications and essay writing from being a peer counselor on campus, and later a career counselor. I am resourceful at helping students master: Reading, Writing and Literature Mathematics (all sections) The SAT,ACT, GMAT and GRE (all sections) Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Precalculus Micro-, Macro- and other Economics courses Biology, Chemistry, Physics and History.
I provide a diverse offering of services, including, but not limited to: exam preparation, standardized test prep, homework help, concept reinforcement, projects, and essays. The reason I have found great success as a tutor is because I know how to explain difficult concepts to struggling students. My deep understanding of the various fields allows me to shed new light on topics and show students how to tackle problems in a way they can comprehend. My long and varied teaching experience and familiarity with standardized tests like the SAT enable me to design a unique approach specifically suited to each student's individual strengths and weaknesses.
My students enjoy working with me because I think of creative ways to explain complex concepts, keep tutoring sessions fun and stress-free, and always go the extra mile to make sure all of their needs are met. Most of all, I push students to challenge their own standards of success and equip them with the confidence and skills that allow them to exceed their own expectations.
Education
At pre-collegial level, I had the privilege of learning in both the British curriculum (GCSE/IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma & Bilingual diploma program. I was accepted into University of Waterloo for a Bsc. in Chemical Engineering. I graduated with a minor in Business Management and a 3.70 GPA. I also followed through with a BA in International Relations and a Masters in the same with a GPA of 3.92.Experience / Qualifications
I have over 8 years experience in tutoring students from Grades 3 to college level in US (Michigan, Seattle, California, and Minnesota), Canada, London, Uganda, and now in Kenya (Mombasa and Nairobi).Reviews (1)

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherI am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.
I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics.
I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Math support courses for high school students (Science Maths, Science Exp, Letters ...)As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!
We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.
The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:
1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.
2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.
3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.
4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.
5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.
I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.
In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

Let’s Turn Maths Into Your Favorite Subject, play with mathsmy method of teaching focus foremost on clearing fundamentals to the core, not just how ? but why this and why not that? .... after understanding fundamentals you are ready to learn the way of problem solving , now this is the stage of rigour practice , as that's what yield perfection .
i have got a lot experience with maths , as a student who made it to maths olympiad and got jee 98.7 %ile and then as a corporate employee who used to solve maths problems as a hobby in freetime to open brain in new dimensions .
what i believe is if a person really understand maths in simplest terms without any rush ,as naturally as possible , maths become the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to him/her ... it not just help in academics but in designing most efficient brain that can thing out of the box .... maths is a way to become more and more genius...
