I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

My teaching method I tailor to the needs of my students.
- In my lessons, you can learn to improve your technique to express yourself with ease

- I give you the proper exercises, etudes, and scales to improve your technique, tone quality, posture, and hand dexterity

- I prepare for the ABRSM exams

- teaching can take place at my home studio or at your place

- Beginner, middle, and advanced level, as well as preparation for entrance exams to Conservatory and support classes for official music schools. I also have experience in preparing for ABRSM (British system) level exams, just let me know your goal and we will work towards that!
- We will work on the technical skills putting the focus on observing the body, in order to build a healthy relationship with the instrument. You will learn also how to practice effectively to overcome the difficulties of mastering that music piece that you love.
- The repertoire could be adaptable to your own taste, not only classical (jazz, tango, blues, soundtracks, etc).
- If you love Chamber Music as much as I do, you are welcome to bring your own group to the lessons.

I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

In terms of education, I have the Degree in Classical Violin and three masters in violin playing, from Katarina Gurska (Madrid, Spain), Prince Claus Conservatory (Groningen, Netherlands) and The Hague Royal Conservatory (The Hague, Netherlands), Throughout my whole education I have always chosen teaching electives and internships.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

I believe that improving your instruments requires steady practice and patience at first. Even five minutes a day is better than not touching the instruments at all.
