I offer lessons structured towards learning composition and music theory in line with academic syllabuses, with tailored support to specifications of GCSE and A Level Music, alongside free composition exploring the individual's technical and creative needs on an individual basis. I’m a doctoral researcher in Composition at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and have studied composition at both Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music for Undergraduate and Masters level study.

Guitar is a wonderful instrument that has served it’s place in music for centuries. From Mozart to Jimi Hendrix to Tim Henson, the guitar, although humble in nature, has a lot to provide! You’ll learn the workings of the Guitar’s features, the string names and basic chords (beginners). If you already know a bit about guitar, then I can help you improve on areas you’ve gotten stuck in and fill gaps in your knowledge. If you’re pro and want to learn something new, aka you’re a jazz guitarist but want to learn a new genre, I can provide you the expertise!

My teaching approach is inspired by Paul Harris’ “Simultaneous Learning” and Phyllis Young’s “Playing the String Game”. I combine games and natural instinct to help my students understand playing the cello without overly-complicated instructions. With 4 years of experience, I’m confident in taking on both young and adult students, from beginners all the way to diploma level, guiding their journey throughout. Learning the cello should be both fun and rewarding. I tailor my lessons according to each students’ interests, strengths, and weaknesses in order to help them realise to their full potential. I am an experienced 1-1 Music Teacher with a first class BA Hons from Newcastle University in Music, as well as an MMus in Jazz from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I've taught a variety of instruments including saxophone, clarinet, piano, singing and music theory, as well as helping with students academic work. I always tailor my lessons to fit the student and aim to find what their passion is and use that as the direction for lessons. I am hugely passionate about music and I always aim to share that with the student. I am enthusiastic and personable and I look forward to teaching you!

I am a composer and violinist with 13 years of professional experience in the music industry. I am passionate about helping people of various abilities find their own musical voice, and although the violin is the instrument I specialize in, I am equally keen to help people who want to improve their improvisational and music writing skills (such as Logic/ Sibelius and Songwriting). Together we can design a path of learning whereby you define your own personal goals and I help you to fulfill them.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. We can learn classical music, but also other styles such as pop. I also offer lessons focused on music theory if that is what you are looking for!
