This class is designed for children and beginners who are interested in learning Chinese (Mandarin). We will focus on developing basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through fun and interactive activities.

In addition to language learning, I also introduce stories from Chinese history, legends, and traditional culture to make the lessons engaging and meaningful. Students will not only learn how to use Chinese in daily life but also gain a deeper understanding of China’s rich cultural background.

Whether your goal is to improve Mandarin communication or explore Chinese history, I will adapt the class to your level and interests.

I am a French native language speaker with full proficiency in Spanish. I have extensive teaching experience over 15 years acquired in France and Italy. I have worked across the ages and ability range both primary and secondary schools, colleges and adult’s education.
My degree in Science of Education and my training as a teacher give me some expertise to cover all French National Curriculum subjects. I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat).

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. If exam anxiety prevents them from achieving the results they could, I will include regular mock exams.
I want my tutees to feel at ease and stress-free during our lessons, and making our time together safe and comfortable is crucial to me.

I am a highly passionate and committed history student at UCL fuelled with a desire to share my educational expertise with GCSE and A-Level History and/or French students.
