Trusted teacher: What does a lesson look like? My philosophy is simple: practice is key. We dive into theory where necessary, but the goal is always to help you play better, not to rote learn. I want to get you ready as quickly as possible to play in a band, join a jam session, or simply play the music you love to hear. These are the standard ingredients of my lessons: - Songs & Repertoire: We'll quickly start by playing along to songs you enjoy. This way, you'll immediately put your technique into practice. - Creativity & Songwriting: You learn not only to play by ear, but also to create your own. How do you build a good bass line? How do you make sure it fits the drums? We work on your own musical voice. - Ear Training & Jamming: Do you want to be able to play along without sheet music? We train your ears so you recognize chords and melodies faster. We conclude every lesson with a short moment of improvisation: just dare to play and listen to what works. Feeling a bit stressed about improvising? No problem, so am I. I’ll happily help you through it, so you feel at ease in any setting. - Technique & "Theory at your fingertips": 1. We learn the neck of the bass blindly (where are the notes?). 2. We practice scales, modes, arpeggios, and inversions. Not as boring sequences, but as building blocks for creating more interesting bass lines. 3. For those who can read sheet music, we also include sight-reading. Can't read sheet music, but want to learn? Great, we'll do that. 4. We learn to play along with chord progressions. For absolute beginners: Have you just started? Then we will take our time to get the basics right. You will get to know the instrument well, and we will also cover music theory in an accessible way, so that you have a solid foundation. The end goal? That you feel confident on stage or in a rehearsal room, know what you're doing, and above all: enjoy playing.

Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Alyssa. I am a professional singer with over 18 years of experience as the lead vocalist of Postmen. I have performed on many stages and worked in numerous studio sessions, and music has been part of my life from a very young age. I started singing in church and later in a gospel choir, where I developed a strong foundation in feeling, expression and musicality. For me, singing has always been something natural and that is exactly what I want to help others discover in themselves. I am passionate about guiding people in finding their own voice. Not just technically, but emotionally and creatively. Many people think singing is only about hitting the right notes, but I believe it’s about connection, confidence and allowing yourself to be heard. My lessons are always tailored to your level, your goals and your personality. Whether you are just starting out or already have experience, I create a safe and supportive space where you can grow. We will work on: Vocal technique and breath control Confidence and letting go while singing Finding your unique sound and style Musical interpretation: understanding what a song needs Ad-libs, dynamics, falsetto and vocal expression Stage presence and performance mindset Voice care and healthy singing habits My lessons are for: Beginners who want to start singing in a relaxed way Intermediate singers who want more control and confidence Advanced singers or artists who want to refine their sound Anyone who feels there is “more” in their voice but doesn’t know how to reach it My coaching style is personal, intuitive and encouraging. I don’t believe in forcing a voice into a certain style. I want to help you discover what is already inside you and bring that out. I work with both adults and younger students and I adapt my teaching depending on what you need: structure, creativity, technique or confidence. I'm looking forward to meeting you! You can bring your own songs or work on suggested material Suitable for different styles (with a focus on soul, pop & expressive singing) Lessons available for hobby singers and more serious artists Available online or in person (if applicable)

Cigdem is a great teacher who takes the time to integrate learnings with real-life discussions. For example, we spend 10 minutes at the start of each lesson and throughout the course of the lesson an extra 15-20 minutes having a chat about subjects including work and life in order to be able to apply all the theoretical learnings to the actual language.

A good teacher. Renata cares about the quality of studies. She also flexible, can teach both face to face and online. My son preferred online studying, but she invested time to come to our place to see and talk to the student face to face for the first lesson.
